*The owner did reach out to ask for feedback and refund me for the color job I was unhappy with. I hope they improve more on their stylist to client interactions in the future when issues happen.
I had a really bad experience here for a few reasons. Both at the fault of the receptionist and my stylist who were not diligent and extremely poor with their communication, and at the fault of the owner who did nothing to try to reach out to me and make me feel valued as a customer.
I reached out asking for a bleach and tone on my hair since my roots are grown out, the receptionist asked me to send pictures, which I did. She told me that my hair look like it had been balayaged or only highlighted, which is false I told her I had a full blonding appointment and most of my head was bleached, minus my roots. She said okay and put me in with a consultation with Abbey. At this point there was definitely a miscommunication from the receptionist about my hair that confused Abbey. I went into my consult reiterating I wanted my roots completely redone and she okayed it without saying much else and trying to communicate what specific process she was thinking. I go into my appointment, and after a few foils I realize that she is doing partial foils and only highlighting my hair. I told her that's not what I wanted or asked for (which I have proof of in my emails with the salon) and she got extremely upset. She roughly washed the bleach out and used a random toner that was darker all over my hair which I did not okay. I asked for a lighter toner and now I have close to light brown toner in my hair which she did without asking me or having me okay at all. By the end of it she still charged me for the partial service, I was upset by her reaction and also I have been waiting to redo my hair a long time, I didn't have the energy to argue.
The stylist completely mishandled the situation and I felt extremely bad leaving afterward about everything. They do ask for feedback after your appointment, I left it and was not contacted further about my experience, which the owner should have reached back out to me. Also, through my exchange with trying to make an appointment, I felt like I was being talked down to like I knew nothing about my hair, and while I'm not a hairstylist, I've been in several salons and know what my hair needs and the terminology for my specific dye job.
TLDR: Feels like they don't care about client base, were extremely unprofessional, don't have adequate communication skills, the actual experience made me feel really bad , with the stylist charging me for what I didn't agree to, and how she put the random toner on me and was rough

Read moreI actually loved the artist I worked with, lexi. Just was a mismanaged establishment. I Really think two stars might be too generous but here it goes- my list of grievences and why I stopped dumping 1000s into this business.
They would never let my hair process long enough to lighten to where I wanted it. They're a busy salon and if it takes more than 4 hours for your hair to be lightened. Tough luck- but you'll PAY just as much to not get the result you want. I recognize this as a way to make more money. "Oh no you didnt acheive the lightness you want. Come back in 6 weeks and spend 400 dollars, next time we will get it there" is pretty much what I kept hearing.
They charged me an extra 200 to re tab tape ins. On top of the 400 it costs to move them up. Im sorry but why isn't "retabbing them" already calculated in the move up price? Don't you need to RETAB them when you move them up every single time? Why do you say a move up is $400. Just say what it actually is, 600....
The first time i bought extensions there's I wasted them completely because the level one artist they had install them CUT THEM? Mostly off? They comped the "install" part of this service - despite the fact they just ruined $800 worth of extensions by cutting them too short, so, I had to spend another 800 on extensions 3 weeks later anyways because it just did not look good.
The final straw was the Stylist turning my hair orange back in July 2024 and then when I emailed you guys pics of my hair where I was visibly crying and visibly had orange hair- the "manager" acted like it was annoying for me to even be upset about it. Yup
Also posting pics of our face on your social media page without permission after I asked several times for my pics to not be posted is just tacky and gross and also violating.
I just can't believe how much I spent at this salon to be treated so poorly by the management.
To summarize- this place used sneaky sales practices and I guess standing up for myself when you guys did bad work made me an "annoying" client. So here's my annoying...
Read moreStarting with the good—Ashle is an absolute gem, I'm so glad I got to meet her. It's clear she's incredibly skilled and loves what she does. I had a great time chatting with her and watching her work. I do genuinely think I will return to her in the future because she made the experience so great. The person at the front desk (I didn't get their name) was also lovely, the space is clean and welcoming, and the customer service is top tier.
The not so good—the haircut I ended up with is pretty different than what I asked for and I'm feeling really bummed. The layers and total length of the hair are all a couple inches shorter than what I specified; e.g. there are thick face framing layers are around my eyes when I said no higher than lower-cheek. I said I specifically didn't like a shag on me, didn't want the ends to feel thin, and needed to be able to put my hair in a pontyail because I work in the trades. The haircut I have now is not quite a shag, but almost there and I won't be able to get my hair tied back adequately for months. I don't usually get too precious over hair, but I'd been really happy with where I'd got my curly hair to and just wanted a little more shape...I'm trying not to feel too heartbroken but it's hard.
I guess it's a good lesson for me to be very firm and vocal about what I want not just at the beginning of the haircut but throughout. I give a lot of trust to stylists because I feel that they're the expert in the room, but I'm the only expert on what I want so I've got to hold up my end of the bargain. Again, I really do think Ashle is a fantastic stylist and if I had been more assertive I would be happier with the result. The good news is that it's basically a perfect grow out haircut and I'm sure it's going to be super cute in a few months. On balance, a 5 star experience and a 3 star result for a 4...
