Fantastic take-out restaurant. Not fancy, but has good service and great food at a decent price. It's my go-to spot for an easy midweek meal. Bonus points for the nice staff who are very friendly both on the phone and in-person. Main drawback is that online ordering is currently not an option, unfortunately. *Panang Curry* - this is my favorite dish, though the Green Curry and Massamam Curry are also noteworthy. It's hearty and very filling, perfect during the colder months. It usually runs about $15-20 altogether. I recommend chicken or veggie with a 2 or 3-level spice (out of 5). I would not recommend the salmon or avocado options - they don't go well with curry in my opinion. The shrimp option is good but is just a little messier when peeling off the shells. *Tom Kha* - very good, and similar to the curries but with a lemongrass taste. It's a nice change, though I do prefer the curries over this soup. *Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodle)* - this is my second favorite dish. The portion is very generous, and the sauce is delicious. Recommended for those new to Thai food and are very hungry. *Rama Noodles (Swimming Noodle)* - I found this dish lacking cohesion and would not recommend it. The sauce is thick and pasty, and the noodles a bit slippery. *Pad Thai* - very good, but not enough vegetables in my opinion. It's a great base for a quick meal, though, and very easy to add more vegetables at home to essentially double the size of the dish. *Bird Nest (Curry Noodle)* - great flavor, though I was hoping for more curry sauce. The crispy egg noodle was a nice change but a little difficult to manage at times. *Chicken wings* - not great, do not recommend. Though there are lots of wings for the price, there's not enough actual meat. Lots of breading and cartilage to work around, and the sauce is lackluster. *Mango Sticky Rice* - very good, and very sweet. Easily shareable between two people. *Rice* - the white rice is best. The brown rice is actually red rice and has a funny taste in my opinion.

Great neighborhood eatery. My go-to place for take-out. Somewhat embarrassed to say they know me by name now. I stick with their chicken and tofu dishes as I haven't found a beef dish I like there yet. Then again, I don't eat beef often so I haven't given myself many options. Try branching away from the standard noodle and curry dishes. Their Basil Basil entree is one of my faves. Be forewarned that they use fresh chili peppers, not dried, which means that their spiciness scale is skewed hotter than other places. Also, I've found their scale isn't uniform so the particular cook greatly impacts the spicy factor. Most Thai places I can comfortably get a 4 (out of 5). At Lotus Thai I top out at a 3, but sometimes even that's too spicy. If I want to guarantee non-burning lips, watery eyes, and potential heartburn I cop out with a 2 like a wuss. The actual restaurant is tiny with only like 5 tables. They have a thriving call-in for pick-up business. The staff is always friendly, but can get harried during the weekday dinner rush (5:60-7:30).

Updated May 2025. There is now dine-in service that has been added. There is street parking only. Thursdays usua are the lightest days to find parking out in front. People come here for the quality & quantity of food. Originally, I was just walking through the neighborhood to get home and saw that this was one of the only restaurants open later with a line outside. The food was worth the wait! Ordered the Pad Kee Mow, & the food came out pretty quickly, hot, with plenty of flavor! The to-go containers were the high-quality clamshell you would expect from a higher end restaurant. The fresh rolls are plenty big and fresh! You can actually watch the cook make it on the wok, right at the window. This location is generally take-out only, but they have Coming back to support this local restaurant. Call ahead to make sure they are open because the hours of operation vary. Midas 5-stars - for the portions & taste, 4-stars for the lack of everything else.

Beware, this is not currently a dine in establishment. I should have ordered ahead of time since I had to spend time commuting there anyways. Also beware, they make some darn good Thai food for the price.

I wasn’t mad I had to wait a bit for my food. I barely beat the rush of customers so luckily I got to watch them prepare my food with everyone and didn’t have to also drool over other peoples orders. There isn’t much waiting room inside either. I got my food and left immediately. The area gets packed very easily.

Luckily parking isn’t too bad, but still not easy. I found parking right out front but there are only maybe 3 or 4 spaces. You won’t have too much of a problem parking I’m around the corner or in the neighborhood nearby. It’s Seattle, many many places share this parking situation.

Now for the food. Have you read the other reviews. That mini waiting room wasn’t packed and spilling out into the street for no reason. This food is delicious, especially at this price point. I found the wide noodle to be very juicy and tender. Almost perfect. The curry was good also, but did didn’t have as much panang flavor that I wanted. Maybe I should have asked for a higher spice level.

Compared to some of the other Thai restaurants, this place won’t let you down, but won’t wow you. You can get everything they order almost everywhere else and it will taste just as delicious depending on the dish. If you’re not looking for the perfect pace for a date and just want some good affordable food, these guys have what you need. Now if you want Thai food that will really impress a friend or your own taste buds,...

Not sure if the ownership changed or if they just changed the name. I would say based on what I saw the 1st (ownership change). I was hungry for either Thai or Vietnamese. I have several go to Vietnamese in the area I like, I decided to go to my go too Thai. Lotus Thai. I called them and ordered yellow chicken curry. They asked me to I want fried rice or white rice. Hmmmmm since when has Lotus offered complimentary fried rice. I asked: "Is this Lotus Thai" Answer: "Yes". Great. White rice. Well, drove down they and notice a big new sign "Cherry Street Thai" Hmmmmm. Well, I will give it a try. Decided that I was really hungry so ordered extra Egg Rolls. The lady pulled out a bag and threw frozen egg rolls into the deep fryer. (Remind me to ask from now on if my egg rolls are frozen or fresh before I order from any restaurant). Yuk!!! Picked my food up ($23.00) for everything. The egg rolls were the worse I have ever had, I ate them fresh in the car. They were surround by uncooked dough. I was starving. Now on to the curry. It was not bad, not the same as before, but not bad. Order 4 stars which was too hot for me. It overpowered the curry flavor. I love hot food, I can handle it, but this was not a nice balance of Hot/Curry. 4 stars is my normal posting stars. I knock 1 star off for lying to me on the phone and one start for the egg rolls. ...
