Good bar, good bar food, outdoor seating.
The only problem I have is how they run a payment. I went in on Saturday, ordered a beer, and the bartender asked if I wanted to run a tab. I did and gave him my card, but he said it wouldn't go through. I was a bit confused because although I knew my account was low, I knew there was enough money in my bank account to cover a couple beers. He kindly ran it again, but with no success. He'd already given me my beer and I didn't have another form of payment on me. I had to message my girlfriend to come by and help out.
She got there and we both had a beer. She ran her card on the tab. When she looked at her account the next day, there was a $25 hold on her account in addition to the bar tab we had.
It turns out that when you opt to run a tab, they put a hold on $25 in your account. My payment problem would've been solved if the bartender would've known to mention this $25 hold. My account couldn't clear the hold although I could've paid for a few beers.
The $25 hold is still on my girlfriend's account two days later. This is money that will certainly be cleared, but is unusable until it does.
In our particular situation, this is a medium inconvenience, but I can imagine that it might be a serious problem for people who may need that...
Read moreThe food was really good. Unfortunately, good food will not save you from bad customer service. I normally don’t write reviews but I wanted to warn others of this rude bartender who works there. I have never been to Twilight Exit and, after my experience will never go back, all I wanted was a drink with my coworkers. Now, I’m not really a drinker but I do like a sugary cocktail. They didn’t have a menu so I asked a female bartender (white, dark hair, slightly over weight, with tattoos) if they served cocktails. She responded so rudely that they did and preceded to ask what I wanted. Basically like, “Uh, yeah. What do you want?” My coworkers also agreed that she was rude with me during the whole exchange. Of course I didn’t know what I wanted but she didn’t suggest anything so I had to describe a drink that I liked and she proceeded to make a terrible one for me. Everyone in my party agreed that she was rude and it really soured my experience there. So to that lady, you were way too mean for me and I will never know if it’s because I’m a person of color. All my white coworkers were treated fairly, but I was not. So suffice to say, I will never be going back nor will I recommend to my...
Read moreWent here twice last week, on Thursday and Sunday evenings. Safe to say I'm a fan!
The aesthetics aren't quite too dive-y or fancy but a nice blend of both. You walk in and wait in line for the bar, which can take a little bit if they're busy. You order drinks and food right from there, and I highly recommend the Twilight Dog. It's the best version of the Seattle Dog I have had in the city, with a delightfully spicy pepper blend adorning a toasted bun, frank and some cream cheese. The picture below doesn't quite do it justice!
The outdoor seating is awesome and service is polite and prompt.
Highly recommend a visit and will...
