👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Love this newly-opened local Mediterranean grill/cafe. I ordered the kofta kebab salad and it was delicious! Drizzled with savory tahini dressing and a generous sprinkling of sumac, the kebab was tasty, well-seasoned and generously portioned. Service was friendly and good, too. I love that they’re open until 9 PM every night - which is late in this part of the city! They also seem to have a very busy takeout business which is awesome. 👏🏽
I also got a sample of their falafel and OMG! It is the best I’ve had in a very long time. Enriched with lots of fresh herbs, it was soft, tender, and tasty in the middle with a satisfying crispy exterior. Next time I go, I will also buy the falafel platter 🤓 I’m so happy to have found this place in the Central District!
Other helpful things to note: They do have seats and small space for dining in and there’s a small parking lot as well. It’s also wheelchair/stroller/walker accessible. It’s bright with large windows and very clean as well. I went on a Friday afternoon for lunch and there was plenty of seating and parking. And there’s a couple of bus stops right next to the restaurant.
UPDATE: I went back today and got the falafel platter, and the falafel was delicious. I would rate it 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The portion size was more modest (w/ 5 falafel balls) but still good and sufficient for 1 person, and the baba ghanoush was delicious. My partner ordered the beef/lamb shawarma platter and would rate that 2 ⭐️⭐️ because the meat was tough and grizzly and slightly gamey from the lamb. He couldn’t eat it. That said, it was seasoned well and the rice was delicious. In the future, we’d probably choose the chicken shawarma over the beef/lamb shawarma platter.
UPDATE 2: I went again and it was just before closing at 9:45 PM on a Saturday and they were nice enough to let us do takeout. We ordered a falafel sandwich 🥙 and my partner ordered a chicken shawarma sandwich. Both were really flavorful and delicious. I just absolutely LOVE the falafel here - soft and tender on the inside and loaded with fresh herbs and garlic, and crispy/crunchy on the outside. Plus, the tahini sauce...
Read morei stopped by here after getting off of work and am super glad i did. i ordered on their kiosk and got myself the kofta kebab plate for about $20, then tipped $5 in cash. the guy working there gave me a free falafel on a fork with (what im assuming was) toum on top and it was sooo delicious, herby, refreshing and had a punch of garlic flavor!! he told me that my order would take about 15-20 minutes, so i went to get the dog then walked back there and got my food. he was so nice and his service was awesome but i felt bad that he was the only worker there :( the kofta was very flavorful and tender. you could see all the herbs inside and it wasnt heavy at all. this was my first time trying kofta though so i wasn't exactly sure what to expect lol but i would get it again. i wish the hummus had a bit more flavor and that there was more sauce but i could have gotten it at the tables myself, so i won't knock them down for that!!! i will say the inside of the store is pretty grey/dull and when i've walked past at night, the lighting reminds me of a hospital which i am not a fan of T__T but they had their windows open for the sunny seattle weather so today it wasnt so bad! and they had chairs+tables outside if you want to wait for your food or eat out there :-) i think this place has a lot of potential and i will definitely be coming back to...
Read moreI sooo wanted to like this place as I live in the neighborhood and love supporting local eateries. And based on the great reviews I thought I'd buy my family dinner on a night we were all too tired to cook. But I felt like I wasted $60. It was easy to order online, and when I came to pick it up the guys there were extremely nice. However, they forgot to put the pita in the bag so they stopped me going out the door. I saw them take two pitas from a frozen? stack and run them under water before heating them....needless to say they were not fresh or good. The hummus was good and the rice was fluffy and tasty....but the chicken shawarma was strange in a bad way (seemed fresh enough , just didn't taste good). Same with the lamb kebab. My 16 yo son took two bites of his chicken gyro sandwich and said " I can't eat this"....and he eats anything! So I cooked another meal for the 3 of us. Guess I should have ordered...
