Kinda frustrated actually. I ordered a burrito to eat on the airplane. I told them to-go and we're at the airport so I thought that would pretty clear.

The food was great. 5 stars.

But, I specifically ordered a burrito because it's easy to eat on a plane when correctly packaged. I was expecting it to be wrapped in paper or tin foil. Instead, I got a big ol' box that I didn't fit in my bag. -1 star.

What made me write this review though is that they CUT IT IN HALF! I could have figured something else out if they'd left it intact. Isn't that the whole point of a burrito? The tortilla provides a mostly liquid tight and completely solid tight covering. Cutting it in half meant all the stuff was dumped out in the box by the time I got on the flight. I had to use a fork to eat it (exactly what I was trying to avoid by ordering a meal I can usually eat with one hand). -1 star. Probably should be -2 but the folks were nice.

I hope somebody reads this and improves the packaging of their to-go burritos.

Summary: wrap it in tin foil and don't cut it. At a minimum, ask if that's how a to-go order would like...

I ordered Quesadillas and Tacos choosing the Veggies filling because I’m a vegetarian. Even though the portion size was good, both Tacos and the Quesadillas had a very weird smell/ taste that tasted very odd! Must’ve been the oil, I’m not really sure. But it smelled weird. I also think charging the same rate for Vegetarian option at the cost of meat filling is a downer for me. 14$ something for both veggies / meat. Doesn’t seem reasonable. But the Rice and Beans paste that came along with Quesadillas was delicious! Hence the 2 stars 💕

But the truck looked nice and a take away would be a good choice since there’s very limited seating on the outside. I expected more given the ratings of this place, but maybe they make meat...

I went to pick up some food from El Taco Loco today for the first time. This is small taqueria (inside a liquor store) that is run by a husband and wife. I told them that I have been unable to find authentic Mexican food in Seattle since moving here a few months ago. They laughed and said they believe they are the most authentic in town.

I ordered the mole enchiladas plate and 6 tacos (asada and carnitas were my favorite). This was in fact the best Mexican food we have found thus far! Very good flavor! The rice and beans were also delicious.

This will be our go to spot in Seattle from here forward. Please go and check them out! You will not be...

What an awesome discovery this was. Now in a food truck next to the liquor store this is my go-to Mexican spot. Ordering is simple at the truck or online at the website. The staff is amazing, friendly and knowledgeable plus kudos for offering my pooch a treat. I tried the chicken and steak street tacos, a side of refried beans and wet burrito. All were excellent! My sweet spot is flavor from purity and I was in heaven The refried beans were superb with little if any salt added just pure joy The street tacos were meat and cilantro in a delicious tortilla yum. Will be back soon and highly recommend

I'm so happy they opened the restaurant after being a taco truck for so long ❤️ This is such a great little gem and the staff are genuinely some of the kindest people. I have eaten everything from the wet burrito to the quesadillas to the tacos, and have enjoyed all of the dishes. It is certainly not the best I've ever had, but ranks at B+/A- tier and definitely satisfies my Tex-Mex craving and at great value compared to other options in the area. My favorite tacos here are al pastor and carnitas!

The place was slightly hard to find as it is located inside a liquor store. The people were welcoming and friendly and later we found out they are very talented at cooking. These were the best tacos I have had since the last trip to Mexico. We had Barbacoa and Carnitas. Initially I thought the prices were a little high, but the quality and service more than made up for it. If you are visiting Ballard Locks, this place is a short 200 feet from the entrance.
