Taco Time NW — Restaurant in Seattle

They say this is an international Taco Time, which doesn't have the same menu items as other Taco Time's, and they're right. Tacos are street style corn tortillas rather than the crispy shells everyone has come to know. The Verde sauce is so much better than the packets other locations use.

They say that customers helped design this Taco Time, and it's not shown because the place is not customer-friendly but cold and corporate plastic.

If more Taco Times decide to go with this easy-to-clean, but ugly-to-look-at, worse to the touch, style... then corporate greed really is at an all-time high, and I've just made my last visit.

This location lacks character.

Granted, I'm comparing it to the Taco Time's in Downtown Salt Lake City and Kaysville, Utah, which have customized decor, metal sculptures, and a salsa bar... sure, it's no way authentic to Mexican styling, but it's carved out its own design style, and a feast for the eyes.

This location has different, not better, food. But the new design makes me want to throw up their food...

Which is most likely, the new Taco Time business model. You buy the food, eat it, then expel it for how bland this place is to look at... thus making a person buy more food. Quite the little cottage industry they've planned here.

Hopefully, people get on the bandwagon about this new horrible styling, and we, together, tank the reviews so corporate Taco Time does the right thing, not the cheapest thing... since they aren't passing the...

Small parking lot, so if it's full consider the drive through then stop by the Ballard Locks (literally yards away) and enjoy your fabulous Taco Time meal there. Not to discourage you from dining in as the cathedral-ceilinged space inside features all cushy-backed booth seating, kind of old school diner-style, and they were all clean and comfortable. Guest wifi is available, and I connected merely by clicking on the SSID in my phones AP list in my wifi settings while waiting for my food and companion to arrive. The food at any Taco Time is always fresh and good. It has never disappointed me no matter which location I've been to and this one is no exception. The staff will take the food to your table when it's done and it's worth the wait always. They also have one of those cool soda machines where you can just push a button and it has a billion flavors in it. Also, the ice comes out super fast just like the rest of them, too, so watch out for that. Other than...

The staff here rocks! Can hardly believe it's a fast food drive-thru, with what a stellar customer experience I always get. The guy with the radio voice is incredible, an absolute staple. I had a different drive-thru employee recently, and he also went above & beyond! Great attention to detail, genuine care put into what otherwise would be a transactional exchange. Thank you, awesome employees!

The only negatives: non-compostable containers for salsa & jalapenos (they should take the Chipotle approach with compostable cardboard salsa cups). soft "tacos" = burritos. Baffling.... (they may have remedied this since I have not ordered a "taco" from here ever since).

Overall awesome, would become a dangerous habit if it weren't for the plastic salsa cups... :) Will recommend...
