Freshy's — Restaurant in Seattle

Was employed here for a few months. I thought I was becoming part of the family, but management revealed itself to be terrible after the first month or so. On top of that, the store is never stocked with what is needed, and it’s a mess. Disgusting, actually. Fruit flies are everywhere. Flying around the food, in the drinks, everywhere. I’d come in and we would be out of bread, milk, cheese, whatever, and then they try and offer customers randomly made concoctions with weird, whatever-they-have ingredients to make up for their lost drink. So weird. Nothing ever works. The ice machine has been broken for months. Customers can’t even get iced drinks! I expressed my concern for these issues a few times, but they never seemed to see these things as problems to be fixed. It’s chaos for employees. Very stressful, and no one seems to care. It’s a cute place that has a lot of potential. Under proper management, it would be a fantastic shop to work at. I feel very sad having to write this, but it’s the truth of my experience. Well, fresh is right! This place. Their breakfast sandwich #1 is quite literally the best breakfast sandwich I have ever tasted...and I have had a metric ton of breakfast sandwiches. This rad eclectic community space reminds me of the punk coffee shops in Olympia and Tacoma that I love. A solid dark cup of coffee, loose local tea, and mind-blowing home cooked food including original house-made soups, and hot pressed sandwiches - the very smell of which was enough to make me hungry. They also boast a range of healthy/delicious cold beverages, wifi, arcade, couches by the fireplace, house plants, plenty of power outlets, and Seattle Gay News on tap. Today francophone new wave punk is the auditory flavor, delighting my ears and threatening to rival the savory smells that tempt my nose in this fabulous joint. This place is not the same as it used to be. Recently I visited here for my 3rd time, I ordered one of their today's soup and half sandwich, I got my sandwich really quick and the soup was taken forever. I asked when my soup would be ready and they said oh it's making now..after 20 mintues later they took my order. I mean.. if you don't have soup ready to be served you should say something to a customer at least! While I was waiting for my soup my sandwich got cold. The soup was not good anyway.
