Full Throttle Bottles — Restaurant in Seattle

[edit] went in a few more times, service has been friendly since the first visit, I think I just caught them on a bad night, so accordingly 4 stars. 1 star off still for price and cooler space. I was expecting a bit more, frankly. First the good: they have a nice selection, although for a Seattle bottleshop I'd rate them just average. Still, "average" in Seattle means a lot of different beers. One thing in their favor is they carry Victory Brewing beers, which quite a few west coast places do not.

Store is nice and clean.

The bad: Not a ton of cooler space and the coolers aren't that well organized. I really don't want to dig into the cooler to have to find different beers behind the front row ones. Also, it would be nice if American IPA singles weren't mixed with Belgian Trippels.

The prices are high. I understand that craft beer is pricey, but 14 dollars for a single of Russian River's "Supplication" is ridiculous. I've seen this beer priced anywhere from 9-12 around Seattle. Monk's cafe singles are $4.50, again this is about 33% higher than I've seen elsewhere.

Mixed:

The staff was friendly at first but seemed to take it personally when I decided the Monk's cafe singles were too highly priced to bother purchasing. It's not personal, just trying to get a decent bang for my buck.

I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, John, at a Sounders game, and that's how I became familiar with this establishment. Today, while being in the area, I decided to stop by and explore this place further. Let me tell you, it's fantastic! The selection of beers here is exceptionally diverse and each one comes with its unique design. You can purchase them individually or in packs, and they even have beer on tap. I have lived in Seattle for decades and never have i had a better experience than i did tonight at full throttle. the beers were amazing and the diversity of the selections available was truly impressive. that coupled with the amazing service given by the bartender, Lauren, made the whole visit even better.
