Oxbow Park is a unique and quirky green space located in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. Known for its artistic flair, the park is most famous for housing the iconic "Hat 'n' Boots," which are giant cowboy-themed sculptures originally part of a gas station in the 1950s. These vibrant sculptures were relocated to Oxbow Park in 2003, becoming a beloved local landmark. The park itself is relatively small, but it offers a charming blend of art, history, and nature. In addition to the Hat 'n' Boots, Oxbow Park features open grassy areas, picnic tables, and a community garden where locals can grow vegetables and flowers. The park’s layout encourages visitors to relax, take in the sights, or enjoy a casual picnic. Oxbow Park is a favorite among families and community members, providing a safe and welcoming environment for children to play. It also hosts occasional events and gatherings, fostering a sense of community within the Georgetown area. Despite its small size, Oxbow Park’s combination of art, history, and greenery makes it a distinctive and memorable spot in Seattle.

What a perfect little park amongst the industrial area of Seattle! I commute to/from Issaquah for work from West Seattle and I've been looking for more parks like this along my route. Despite my adorable toddler technically being too young for the park (it recommends 5-12yrs) it was still safe and fun. She loves the slide!

Stopped by after hearing about the giant boots and hat. Wasn't disappointed at all! A couple people were even painting one of the boots while I sat there, staring at said boot. If you want to see giant boots and a giant cowboy hat, this is probably your park.

This park is special to me because of the Hat& Boots. Growing up, my parents used to get there gas from the gas station with the hat & boots. When my grandma visit we took her to see the hat& boots. they both were at the same gas station. It was on East Marginal wy. So when the business closed, the hat and boots where left unkept.I saw in the paper about them relocating them to this little park, they sat alone many years until the park. When i went to go see the park the first time it was amazing! The boots were actually a mens bathroom in one boot and the womens bathroom in the other boot. The park is a lovely little place to go. I seat and write while im there. Theres kids toys to play on and big enough for a picnic. This park is...
