I visited Good Bar for the first time and had a deeply unpleasant experience with a bartender named Chase. When I arrived, I stood at the bar with a menu in hand, waiting to order. There were only two people being helped, so I waited patiently, tried to make eye contact, and expected to be greeted next.
Instead, after finishing with those two guests, Chase ignored me completely and assisted someone who had just walked up after me. No acknowledgment, no simple “we’ll be with you in a moment,” nothing. When I walked over to where that other guest was being helped and mentioned that I had been standing there waiting, Chase responded rudely: “The lines over here, you’re in the wrong spot.”
I explained this was my first time at the bar and I wasn’t aware of where to stand, especially since no one had acknowledged me or given any kind of direction. Rather than taking a moment to explain with kindness, Chase continued to speak over me, dismissing my concerns and prioritizing proving his point over providing decent customer service while i tried to place my order.
It wasn’t busy. There was no reason he couldn’t have simply said, “Hey, the line starts over here.” Instead, he chose to ignore and belittle me, an awful way to treat any customer, especially a first-time guest.
What saved the night was Pete. After Chase messed up my order (I asked for ranch, which apparently they don’t have but Chase was so busy talking over me that said ok to ranch), I returned to the bar and Pete helped me instead. He was kind, patient, and brought dressing and napkins to my table with a smile. He treated me with basic respect and turned what was a terrible experience into something a bit more bearable.
Shout out to Pete for being the one bright spot in an otherwise very disappointing visit. Chase, on the other hand, left me feeling disrespected, dismissed, and completely unwelcome. If he’s a reflection of the customer service standard at Good Bar, that’s unfortunate, and it’s enough to make me not...

If you want REAL cocktails made with unique ingredients, than you'll LOVE Good Bar.
I've lived in Chicago, New York and Miami — and have traveled to international cocktail capitals like Tokyo, London and Paris...
So I can tell you from experience — These bartenders at Good Bar are on another level. (Special shoutout to Peter — thanks for amazing service and excellent cocktails.)
Unlike boring predictable bars that line their shelves with mass-produced spirits like Ketel One, Skyy, Bacardi, Patron and Don Julio...
You won't see any of that at Good Bar...
Instead, their shelves are lined with small-batch artisanal spirits (like my favorite Fortaleza tequila and more).
Their in-house menu includes exciting spirits and ingredients like rose tequila, activated charcoal-infused mezcal, chartruese, sherry, black fig and honey shrub, spiced pear liquor and so much more!
They take a chef's approach to cocktails and can whip up perfectly balanced modern classics and even old-school drinks.
When I went, I ordered exclusively off-menu with Peter, the bartender on staff that night. The only prompt I requested was that I wanted 'something with chartreuse.'
Peter made this AMAZING chartreuse and habanero cocktail that was incredible.
The presentation was excellent. It was clear with a subtle green tint served in a coupe with a hand-cut and carved lemon twist.
The flavor profile: It perfectly balanced the earthy bitter notes of chartreuse with the vegetal heat of habanero... The result was a silky, green-tinted cocktail with just enough spicy notes to keep it exciting.
I don't know if the recipe has a name, but Peter if you're reading this, please remember that build, because I'm coming back and that's exactly what I'm ordering.
Thanks again, Good Bar. I'll be back for sure!
P.S. Sorry, I forgot to take pics! I'll definitely take...
Read moreThis bar boasts a stylish atmosphere with a lively vibe and cozy high ceilings. It features a beautiful marble bar top that adds to its sophistication. The service is exceptional, with a fast and friendly bartender who makes amazing drinks. The Walnut Old fashioned is a must-try and received a wow from me. Although I didn't eat here, my friend raved about the savory lamb burger and pizza. Happy Hour runs from 4 pm to 7 pm and is a great deal with well-priced options. Parking is available in front of the bar, although I walked, so I'm not sure about the difficulty. If you're looking for a nice ambiance and delicious cocktails, visit this bar for a memorable experience. Giving thus place a 4.5 stars.
Update review 8/7/2023, I revisited this establishment and was rather let down to discover that they had removed my beloved walnut old fashioned from the menu. Additionally, the overall scent in the venue was quite unpleasant. It seemed like a thorough cleaning of both the exterior and interior floors was in order. After trying a drink that didn't quite meet expectations, my group and I decided to head to another bar for a better experience. It's...
