We ordered the grilled pork banh mi and the combo, with mango and peach smoothies. maybe it should be called Le's Sweet Shop. My first impression of the smoothie was that it was super sugary. Also, the picture of the drink on the menu clearly shows boba in the drink. Yet, our drinks had no boba! I went back to confirm that i hadn't missed a check box somewhere for boba, and i also didn't find an instruction that if we wanted boba we should include it in the special request box. the smoothies were very strongly flavored (which was nice), but also just on the border of being overly sweet. i guess it's a trade off and we snarfed them down. I'd order one again although i think the smoothies from Tony's Bakery at MLK and Graham are better.

And then we come to the banh mi and, again, wow were they sweet. according to the menu, the grilled pork sandwich has "House mayonnaise, cucumber, pickled carrots & daikon, jalapenos, and cilantro." There was one small slice of cucumber, one slice of jalapeño, a few leaves of cilantro (couldn't detect any mayo, house or otherwise), and the sweetest Đồ Chua (pickled vegetables) i've ever tasted. there was hardly any taste of salty or sour, just sweet sweet sweet. and maybe i'm old skool (well, i know i am), but i expect the carrot and daikon to be cut into strips with a mandolin and these were grated and it was almost all carrot with a few bits of radish.

Maybe Le's, like so many other restaurants in the South End, is trying to cater to the new gentrified clientele, so they have sugared up their dishes. I don't like it any more than i like what the gentrifiers are doing to our community, but i do understand the desire to please the people who have the money, so they'll spend it at one's business.

I think i'll try the Bakery Sandwiches in the mall at MLK and Graham. i see lots of Vietnamese people carrying out shopping bags full of banh mi. they must know something i don't, but i'm about to find out. in the meantime, i might give Le's another try since they have other stuff on their menu. ...

They claim they are not restaurant but they cooked and served whats on the menu. They have tables for clients to eat what clients ordered but they will not bring the plate and drinks you order to your table. You have to get it from the counter and bring them back to the table as you will be told by the staff after. There is no posting that it is a SELF SERVICE area. They asked for a percentage tip as required for when you pay at the cashier. This is our first time to eat to a not a cheap EATERY ( as they claimed that theyre not a restaurant) been asked to bring the utensils, drinking glass and food plates to them before leaving. Am glad they didnt ask us to wipe clean the table and wash the dishes/ utensils/glasses. Am sure they can clean the tables once customer leaves but how come they can not take out the plates etc.to the dishwashing area since they will still go to the table or THEY DO NOT CLEAN IT AFTER ALL. Or maybe bec they are lazy.Or Management never tell the staff to do it as part of customer services. In short, they have poor table customer service. Food is ok but how you can make new customers to return to their DELI BAKERY of clients are treated that way?

I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO EAT/ DINE IN THERE. JUST DO TAKE OUTS. CUSTOMERS NEED TO FEEL IT IS WORTH TO WHAT THEY PAY,DO NOT ASK FOR TIP SERVICE IF CUSTOMERS ARE ASKED TO SERVE THEMSELVES. PUT A SIGN OF SELF SERVICE SO THERE IS NO...

I have been there often and the food is fine; however, today, I saw the rudest interaction I’ve ever witnessed in person from the guy at the counter who was berating a young Black woman. She was trying to order a blended drink which is something she said she ordered often from there. He insisted she was was wrong and kept aggressively telling her that she “doesn’t know anything” and she “doesn’t know what she’s talking about” and telling her that she was “wrong, you didn’t get that from us and what you’re saying just isn’t true.”

It was extremely aggressive. It was unquestionably rude. The lady was extremely embarrassed. I was embarrassed for her to be talked to like. He was exceptionally rude and condescending. All she wanted was to have her drink blended.

I live in the neighborhood and have previously only had good experiences at the restaurant. This was so ridiculous that I did not order and instead came home to see if there was contact information for an owner. I couldn’t find any so I posted here.

I wish I had my phone so I could have videoed it....

This place is awesome! The food is delicious, the people are wonderful and friendly, and the vibe is perfect. It's a great spot for any meal. Taro pie and a coffee in the morning, bahn mi and bubble tea for lunch, Pho and Coke for dinner. They make rice crispy treats that are to die for. They make ones with fruity pebbles or coco pebbles too! 🤤 I highly recommend Le's Deli & Bakery any time of day, any day of the week. Their mochi donuts are amazing. My favorite is the pistachio one, followed closely by the classic cinnamon and sugar. Goes great with coffee! The cupcakes are delicious! I love the frosting flavors and the cake is the perfect amount of sweetness.

Le's Bakery has a lot of options from various sandwiches (Vietnamese banh mi) to bbq bowls (Vietnamese bun). All are delicious. You can sit and enjoy coffee with free access to WiFi indoors or outdoors; I had a business meeting there and they were professional in their accommodation. The bakery is under-staff so the wait for your order could be a tad long. I had the house grilled bun (#20) and the catfish sandwich, large, crunchy, and delicious. Weirdly, I didn't see Sriracha sauce as I needed it for my sandwich. There's free parking inside the building via the back entry, but it's only for the first hour. Regardless there are free street parking spots too.
