Good Hu Tiev Nam Vang (Phnom Penh Noodle Soup)
The exterior of this restaurant is unassuming, and the neighboring businesses are equally nondescript. However, upon entering, the atmosphere transforms, becoming decidedly more welcoming, and the delicious Phnom Penh noodle soup is a notable highlight. Patrons have the option to choose between egg noodles or traditional pho noodles, both of which are satisfying.
I found the Vietnamese iced coffee to be somewhat bitter, and lacking sweetness, so I requested additional condensed milk. Fortunately, the server graciously accommodated my request. It is essential to note that this establishment accepts cash only, so patrons should be prepared. I did not notice any signage indicating this policy until I spoke with an older sister on the phone, who mentioned it. Subsequently, I inquired with the waiter, who calmly informed me, "Yes, cash only, but please, eat first." I enjoyed my meal briefly before proceeding to Safeway to withdraw cash. Conveniently, there is an ATM located within the store. I do hope that in the future, they will begin accepting credit cards, as this would greatly facilitate transactions. When this change occurs, I will upgrade my rating to 5 Stars.
Overall, I wanted to share my experience to inform others of what to expect: a welcoming atmosphere, courtesy of the staff, and...

There are 2 entrances to the restaurant - the correct one is in the back with the big parking lot ha! If you go around the front you’ll usually find the door locked but if you keep trying to open it someone will come to your aid. If you hear a bird chirping you’re not crazy, there’s a robot bird in the corner. If you go when it’s busy you may have to wait but the staff does sense the urgency and they haven’t forgotten about you. Good customer service! If you don’t already know what you want you’ll have to ask for a menu. My guy got the Nam Vang rice noodle soup and I got the stewed beef rice noodle soup. So good! Don’t forget to squeeze lemon in the dip bowl with salt and chilis. Wonderful dip for the beef! We also got iced lemon juice which was incredibly refreshing. I’m a small person and the small stewed beef rice noodle soup was very filling! Next time I may just get the stewed beef with the baguette instead. The tv plays showing flea market scenes of Vietnam. Overall great experience! Kind and authentic vibe!
Also you may see an old woman selling produce as you exit the parking lot - if only we had more cash/smaller bills maybe we would’ve bought...

The concept is simple with this place, they stick to what they are good at. Much like how it is in Vietnam, your local favorite eatery around the corner is good at making one thing.
This place is by far is exceptional at Hu Tieu Nam Vang, Pho, and Bo Ne(Cut of steak sizzling over a hot plate, served with an egg and french bread).
So what to expect? A location that you could easily drive by and miss it. Once inside the unsanitized bathroom and the decor might make you question this place. However, what you won't regret is the food. The hearty soup will hit your taste buds with a complex flavor that makes you wanting more. It's definitely...
