This place is a cute tucked away coffee shop that you could easily pass by if you were not looking closely enough.

I went here for the first time a few days ago and, the energy the place is very calming. The people who works here are very kind and very knowledgeable to answer questions you may have. It is a great place to come and do work as there as a sprawling back area where a lot of people are reading books are on their laptops. And it is also place where well-behaved dogs and well behaved kids are welcome!

At first glance the menu appears to have all of the regular options, but as you looked deeper you notice there's so much more. From their smoothies which are made with more than just one or two ingredients, and with ingredients that you might think so only see at a juice bar, is really nice.

The first thing I tried was there pumpkin spice latte which while I'm not a big pumpkin spice person because I think most of the time it's just using syrups, they use real pumpkin here and, I've had lattes have used real pumpkin before, and this is a top contender Comet you can almost taste the pumpkin seeds( I even remember mentioning that to them as soon as I tasted it 🎃🎃. I also got their superfood Elixir smoothie with bone broth collagen which was quite tasty.

I will...

Mabel is a coffee shop that from the front appears to be really small. But the look are deceiving indeed. When you walk to the front door you’re greeted by the barista. They have tea, lattes, pastries and to go items for lunch of breakfast. Like your regular coffee shop they also sell “day old” pastries. I grabbed a slice of pecan bread and it was delicious for $1.75. I also grabbed a hot oat milk latte with lavender syrup (my go to). After ordering from the bar there’s an entrance to a back room. That back room contains board games, puzzles, books, and many many chairs and tables. They have really good WiFi and the ambience here was just delightful. As I sat here drinking and eating I felt relaxed and at ease. The music they play in the background comes from their record player which you’re not allowed to touch but they have a large selection to see. Overall I’ll come back to this place to work on a project that requires my focus, or to finish reading my favorite book. I may even bring a board game and just relax...

"Can I help you find anything?" is a bit of an odd greeting that only warrants a "coffee" from me. After ordering, I was waiting a while before I realized an iced macchiato shouldn't take so long. I started looking around and finally found it in the corner, which definitely didn't look like a pick-up counter. The drink itself was okay but there's plenty of better espresso to be found in the city.

The seating was limited but there was a larger area in back that wasn't clear whether was available, as I was presented with a second "can I help you find anything" when I tried to check. I saw board games but only two tables. Room for kids...

Cute cafe with friendly staff. The drinks are OK and prices are in line with other cafes in the area. We ordered a Chai Latte and Caramel Mocha. The Chai Latte had the spice, but lacked depth of flavor. The Caramel Mocha was OK - sweet but nothing special. They ask you how much tip you'd like to leave, then input it for you, which is awkward and unncessary. This isn't the closest cafe to my house, so I probably won't return.

Happened upon this place in Ballard and surprised to find it served Bulletproof coffee (great for a quick brain recharge!) Added bonus was how nice the staff was and the chill hangout spot in back. Will definitely be back!
