Old Salt is a small bagel shop on 24th kind of near the 7-eleven. Parking outside can be a pain, just like most Ballard street parking on busy roads. They have some tables outside that you can eat on, but inside is just the counter to order at. The staff are helpful and friendly, prices are actually not too bad here for the portion sizes you get. Bagels are different here, but not in a bad way. They are crispy on the outside and very soft on the inside, like they were flash fried in a deep fryer. That means a good crunch but easy to chew. Their spreads are good, and they put a healthy amount on them which is nice too. Overall a good experience and would try some different Bagels and...

Pros: -Lox bagel has 2-3 salmon roe added - nice touch
Cons: -Bagels are puny and chewy - don’t seem completely baked -Lack much flavor -$41 for a lox bagel, a few sliced bagels to go, and a small cream cheese -Bagels to go are individually wrapped (so wasteful) -Allows dogs in the shop - small space - totally unsanitary and...

We took one bite of the everything bagel - which was heavy on the onion but with no salt? - and threw it away. They aren’t really bagels - more like a weird, donut-shaped unsalted, half-baked bun. I’m so sad if this is what people think bagels taste like, but I haven’t yet had a good bagel in Seattle so maybe this is what passes for one. However, this was by far the worst of the ones I’ve tried. The spreads might be good - not sure as I...
