I hate that I have to give them a 1 star but I honestly can’t give them more than that. I showed up 15 minutes early to my appointment but alyshia made me wait till 5 minutes after my appointment started. Not a huge deal just inconvenient.

That’s not what the bad rating is for.

I went in for a deva cut and the highlights and to cover my 3 gray hairs in front. She convinced me to do a “caramel” color highlights that turned out dark brown. My hair is almost black anyways. You can clearly see where my hair had grown out from before.

She used the delite line on my hair. While my hair was drying, she decided to take another client. Leaving me in the back for an HOUR. I honestly thought she forgot about me till I saw another client thanking her as she brought me back up front.

My hair was poofy and not as curly as I can get it. Even straight out of the shower my hair is more curly then how she left it. I came home and immediately showered and fixed the curliness of my hair.

What I’m most upset about is that I still found 2 gray hairs... I had 3 before getting my hair done and she didn’t even cover them all! Alyshia was nice but she did not do anything special for my hair. Super disappointed as I never spend money on myself and it turned out horrible. (Still tipped 20% though) It was definitely not worth the $185 before tip.

I would think twice before going here and booking...

I found Alisha Riff (a stylist certified in the DevaCut) on Instagram and I am so glad I did! She gave me a DevaCut and my hair has literally never looked this great! She sat me down, gave me the cut, then washed, conditioned and styled my hair amazingly! She used all DevaCurl products; the Micellar Water Buildup Buster as shampoo, then Heaven in Hair as a conditioner, and styling cream, ultra defining gel, spray gel and Mirror Curls to style. She was gentle yet thorough while de-tangling my hair too! She really knows what she is doing. After that she put me in a hairdryer to dry, then diffused my hair a little. My hair looked great immediately after I left the salon, and looked amazing after I washed it and re-styled it. I will definitely be going back to her for my next DevaCut, and will be buying more DevaCurl products soon too because all the products made my hair feel so soft, moisturized and defined my curls so well! I have 3c/4a hair and because I have such curly hair, I have literally never had a great experience with a hairstylist before now. I couldn't recommend...

Ingrid did an amazing job on my hair. I went from mid-back, mixed waves/curls (I have fizzy smaller curls in some places, waves in others, ringlets in others, it's a lot) to a cute long bob that looked exactly like the reference photo I brought in! I left the salon with amazing curls, and I still loved my hair the next day when I straightened it a bit so it'd be easier to put up for the gym. It's been a week since my haircut, and I have genuinely liked my hair every day, no matter how little I do with it. Before getting my hair cut, I was unhappily putting my hair back every day and still feeling bothered by certain sections that looked bad in a ponytail and braids.

On another note, at one point during the haircut, I asked Ingrid if she needed to cut my hair a bit shorter to match the reference, and she said no because it'd be the correct length with my natural curls. She was 100% right, so you should definitely trust her...
