Had the worst experience this morning with the woman that answered the phone at this location. I am used to dealing with zero customer service at all the Mighty O's locations I go to because that is simply what you get in Seattle but this employee was just straight up rude.
I have been a customer of Mighty O's since 2017 when we moved to Seattle and I can see why more and more of their locations keep closing.
This morning I was going to order doughnuts through Grub Hub from the Capitol Hill location but when I was placing the order I noticed the options on the Grub Hub menu included the doughnut option for the flavor of the month for July .. it is September now. So I decided to call the Cap Hill location to figure out what doughnut flavors they are actually offering right now. The phone number listed on Google for that location was a dead end.
So I decided to call this location to ask if the Cap Hill location maybe got a new phone number but I couldn't even ask my question without the employee on the phone talking over me, cutting me off as she proceeded to quickly tell me that the Cap Hill location has been closed for a week now.
I explained to her that on google it still shows the location as open and customers can actively place Grub Hub orders.
She cut me off again and rudely asked what platform I was trying to order from. I explained that I did say Grub Hub and that she would have gotten that information if she would actually listen instead of insisting on talking over me. This employee made the decision to be argumentative over the phone. I told her talking over customers and being argumentative and is completely unacceptable behavior and hung up. I genuinely hope the owner takes a moment to train their employees on what basic customer service looks like.
After 7 years we have made the conscious decision to never give Mighty O's another dollar (which sucks because we love their doughnuts). After years of consistent random closures during hours of operations, lack of available product just an hour or two after opening and consistent poor customer service .. the owner's inability to update current menu items/doughnut flavors on online + follow through and remove a closed location from google and food delivery platforms is the last...
Read moreI feel bad for this review because I love what Mighty-O is doing in terms of normalizing vegan foods and attempting to make them more accessible to non-vegans. I don't want them to lose business, they're doing a good thing.
Unfortunately Mighty-O Donuts misses the mark. They serve only cake donuts and all the flavors I tried suffer from the same issues. The donuts have a weird consistency and are structurally unstable. The inner part of the donut separates from the outer part, the skin. The taste of the cake itself is just okay, but seems less good due to the structural problems.
However, the frosting on every donut I tried was out of this world good. It wasn't enough to compensate for the issues with the donuts themselves but it was SUPER good.
Great coffee.
The staff was friendly, quick, and helpful.
Ultimately there's a lot of room for improvement, and as they improve I have no doubt that Mighty-O will be amazing before too long.
In the future, I will go to Mighty-O's every time I'm in Seattle....
Read moreGreat food. A little pricey, but if your a rich person that lives in that area. Not a place for some one with only a dollar in their pocket, they will chase you out of the place with a broom and threaten to call the cops. If you can pay $10.75 for 4 donuts where in other places, a dozen or more. Then this is the shop for you. Make sure your nose is turned up when you walk in, you don't' want to give them a wrong impression of who you really are. Dog in the purse is optional for the ladies. Would only recommend this place to my real great friends like Bill Gates, all of of the Seahawks, all of the Sounders, Boeing employees that make over a $1,000.00 a day, the owner of Starbucks, all the famous Seattle bands that are still together, Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, basically any one who can pull out a hundred dollar bill out their wallet or purse at any given time of day. That is a place I would point...
