I was just at the Tangletown location. They should let customers know the prices and that they will be different before you bring them the bill for a surprise. I was out and about today, as I have just moved to Seattle. I saw the Tangeltown location on my way to the lake and noticed the happy hour menu. On my way home I decided to stop in for a beer and some happy hour food. As it is gorgeous out today, I sat outside, unknowing of your different prices based on seating rule. I ordered a beer from the happy hour menu and even made sure that I was ordering a happy hour beer. Then I ordered a happy hour item. No one told me I would not be able to get the prices listed at front of the place. Would have been good to communicate that. The service was poor at best. Not once was any one by to ask if I was okay. Then I got my check and was shocked to see much higher prices than those I had seen on my way in. I asked the server and he said I would have had to sit inside for those prices. Well that would have been nice to know I replied. I asked him what the difference between my food was and the happy hour menu. "Nothing"... so I paid extra to be outside?? So you screw people over when they want to enjoy a beautiful day? Nice business tactics. The lack of professionalism put forth...
Read moreI'm from Virginia visiting my sister in Tacoma. In Virginia we have two types of Elysian beer. Space dust and Super fuzz. I'm a big fan of both types, so while near Seattle two friends and I went to visit this bar/restaurant. I tried the immortal first, it was a delicious ipa. Second I tried the no mo sodo ipa and loved it as well. Thirdly I tried the snail bones and also loved it. My friends aren't big beer drinkers and tried to blueberry beer they had on tap i tried a sip of it and liked it a bit also. For anyone who likes ipas alot I'd recommend this store. Also happy holidays is between 3pm and 6pm and saves you a dollar on every drink. They have a happy hour menu that we ordered from each getting the buffalo chicken wings that came with blue cheese dip, two carrot halves, and two celery halves for $6.50. the wings were very nice addition to what I thought was just a bar. I'd recommend this place to anyone who likes Elysian beers. Support...
Read moreThis is a great neighborhood restaurant right up the street from Green Lake. The owner and staff are super friendly and accommodating. As one of the more gourmet culinary experiences in this neighborhood, their menu offerings are creative and inspired. Among our favorites are the house made coconut shrimp, garlic truffle fries, golden and ruby beet salad, crispy fried cauliflower florets, margarita pizza with fresh mozzarella and basil, and the white out pizza with aged provolone, prosciutto and arugula. The atmosphere is laid back and casual, and there is outdoor seating for nice sunny days. There is also ample street parking, and the area is extremely dog friendly. Would highly recommend if you have kids, as the margarita pizza is our all time favorite-- super cheesy and superior quality. They are very accommodating for dietary needs and also do take out so you can have a picnic at the lake. Super fast service. Great...
