It is fine. Unsure if we would come back, nothing really standing out. We randomly went across this place as we were super hungry, craving for thai food.
What brought me here? My hunger and the pretty aesthetic decor.
Drink- it took us 3 times to actually got the drink. The server kept forgetting about our order and almost charged us for non happy hour price. But drink was good, fine. Nothing outstanding.
Food- we got all the happy hour items to try different dishes out. Overall, nothing special, most were either too sweet (beef shank noodle) or too salty (green bean sti fried). We ordered 2 entrees, one came out lukewarm, the egg was actually cold as it just came out from the fridge and xá xíu also cold.
Service- they were all so nice! We loved Nine who helped us out at our table. But the place needs to take some serious training
The wait- no wait for us to be seated since we went out for an early dinner (~5:30PM). The wait for food- not too bad, all the happy hour plates came out VERY quick, not so much of the entree tho, but that’s fine. The wait for the drink- probably the worst because they kept forgetting about the drinks, then we would ask, on the third time, I almost gave up on it.
Overall, they are new and I bet they will improve in the future. Great place if you are into taking photo, checking in trendy spot, not great food.
P/s: photo taken went I was hecka excited for the bowl then found out it was lukewarm, kinda sad. It looks...
Read moreSo glad that this restaurant joined the neighborhood!! I have not found a lot of decent food in the area, but this is the exception. Highly recommend. Will be back.
Price & portion are reasonable, given that Greenlake/Roosevelt prices are generally kinda high in general & portion is on smaller side. Entrees run from around $16-24.
This is definitely one of the better restaurants in the area! Ambience was great, service was on-point, food was great.
Wait time: Wednesday night dinner, joined waitlist at 7:30pm for two people, seated at around 8:30pm.
We got the fried pompano, NY steak with panang curry and rice, mama tom yum hot pot with crispy pork, crab dry noodle bowl, and coconut with purple rice pudding.
Standouts for us: The NY steak with panang curry was delicious, asked for med rare and the beef was perfectly tender, and curry taste was so good. I loved the flavor of the tom yum hot pot and the contents were unique, though portion is probably most suitable for only 1 (at most 2) person. The dessert was also delicious.
There are many items on the menu that I haven’t seen elsewhere in Seattle & actually look enticing, so I’m excited...
Read moreHad dinner during the soft opening and tried several dishes. Appetizers: •Chive Cakes: Crispy, like veggie tempura. Nice chive flavor and a sweet-spicy soy dipping sauce—great combo. •Crab Beancurd Rolls: Fresh crab, shrimp, and water chestnut in crispy beancurd. Similar to dim sum, with a tasty sweet sauce. Entrées: •Mama Tom Yum (Seafood): Served on an alcohol flame with two raw eggs and instant noodles. The soup had a classic Tom Yum flavor but could use more spice. Seafood (crab claw, scallops, cod, squid) was fresh; prawn was too soft. Noodles were nicely chewy. •New York Steak Curry (Medium Rare): Steak was tender and flavorful. Not sure about the oversized cauliflower/broccoli, but the veggies were okay overall. Dessert: •Ai Tim Tod (Fried Coconut Ice Cream): Crispy outside, creamy inside. Topped with dry pineapple slices and caramelized pineapple—very good presentation and taste. Drink: •The Goldsmith: Solid cocktail with real gold. Wait time:...
