New China Express — Restaurant in Seattle

We love New China Express!!! Their food is soo tasty, my personal favorite is getting the Eggplant w/ Garlic Sauce and the Salt & Pepper Tofu so I can have some of each on my plate and then I eat the leftovers over the next couple days haha We also love their Sesame Chicken and any of the fried rices. The breading on their fried chicken and tofu is so satisfying and crisp, even sometimes when we reheat it the next day The fact that they offer delivery in Magnolia is also a HUGE bonus, there are so few delivery options besides pizza in the neighborhood without using doordash or other apps and paying extra fees. We usually get 3+ entrees so we easily meet the $35+ free delivery service, and when we order online that also gets us another free dish in addition to what we ordered (so 4 entrees for ~$40 AND free delivery 🤯) As someone who’s had issues with doordash and missing food before I really appreciate that when you order delivery here it’s an actual employee from New China Express who brings the food to your door. This is solid Chinese American food, which is actually tough to find in Seattle. The cashew chicken, veggie delight, and Wonton soup are my favorites. My partner is a fan of the sesame chicken. The portions are huge and the folks that run the place are lovely. Magnolia is lucky to have this local gem.

EDIT: My husband and daughter got food poisoning from their rice. We know this because it’s the only thing they ate in common that day, their symptoms started a few hours after eating the rice, and my son and I did not have any rice and we were fine that night. This happens when temperature health safety guidelines are not followed with rice. It was a long night and I’m still trying to catch up with our laundry two days later. Solid all around. The food is delicious. We've done delivery and take out a few times now, and it's ready fast and the man who delivered it was so kind, even when I gave him the wrong address. The portions are large and ordering from the website is super easy. So far we've tried: Egg Rolls, Barley Green Pot Stickers (the color delighted the kids), Sweet and Sour Chicken (sauce comes on the side to keep the chicken crisp), General Tso's Chicken (so crunchy), Kung Pao Chicken (perfect mix of veggies), Cashew Chicken, Broccoli Beef, and Pork Fried Rice. It's also nice that you can choose the spice level, customize your order, and include a note with any special requests.
