The best local spot for puppers can engage, mingle, run, be goofy, learn to be social around humans and other pups.
I appreciate how engaging dog owners are. All keep a good eye out as to make sure where there pup is always having positive energy and engaging conversations.
This dog park itself is circle shape and with a designated small pup ( puppy area ) that is segragated and faces the main dog park.
Here you can find all breeds of pups here small and BIG.
Some things to know if you are new to coming to the dog park. We all want this process to be easy peezy for your furr baby.
Enter the park slowly. This will ensure your pup warms up to entering the dog park. ( all entrances have holding pin area before you enter the main dog park and leaving the dog park ).
Just know it is normal that all the pups from the main dog park area will be right at the gate that borders the main dog park. Use this moment to allow your pup sniff, see, and engage from the gate prior to entering, your pup will appreciate it greatly!! Once you decided to enter the park it is okay that your pup will be surrounded almost instantly ( the is know as the sniff meet and greet of dogs ). Note your pup my pee during this event or not and that's okay ). The take away here is to engage with people around you. Let them know your pup is new to the park and area. You will find that everyone will help support you and your pup!!!
Be ready for what everyone calls doggy play fight behavior! It looks vicious but in reality it's just how we HUMANS perceive things may differ from that of your pup. The key take away is to be furr baby parent but to also be engaging with your pup and the pups owner your pups is playing with / hanging around with. That is the difference of knowing and not knowing when your pup is doggy play fighting. Also another thing to be on the look out is if your pup runs back to you that's okay.....this means your pup is unsure but engaging. The key takeaway here is which pups are engaging with your pup and chat with him or her so that the two ( or more ) can be engaging and help you thought what might look vicious is just doggy play fighting :).
Just remember to be engaging you and your FURR BABY depend on you leading the way to a engaging and meanful visit to the dog park.
I am always open to having a weekly, bi weekly or monthly visit here at this park!!!
Just let me know and I can nm qke it happen.
Summer is here so let's get those puppers out ...
Read moreI was there kind of early (8:30) on a Sunday and upon arriving there was only one other dog there who, along with his owner, were pretty focused on just playing fetch. So not much socialization to be had.. We did however just walk the perimeter for a bit and just as we were thinking about leaving, a steady stream of dogs started to arrive. Responsible owners it seemed, who were wanting their dogs to get social time so in the end it worked out pretty well! In all, great little park and...
Read moreBig dog park, little dog park! Nice atmosphere. Clean, open space, chairs for the humans, extra bags, great dogs, even a few semi nice people :) Best part of the park is the community garden just off to the side of the chain link area of the dog park. Gorgeous gardens! Quiet, peaceful, you can tell people have loved the garden. I’ll try to share through my images. Dogs are welcomed in, but only on leash and no peeing or pooping in the gardens! We’ll be...
