I normally dig Papa Johns (since they got rid of John, lol) but this was a weird pick up. I ordered the jalapeno bites and they were awful. Whoever is preparing the peppers for cooking simply have no idea what they're doing. Why? because the peppers weren't seeded and the proper ratio added back for mild heat. I love jalapenos, eat them almost weekly. I'm not shy about good spice.
The bad preparation resulted in an overly burning your mouth spicy dish that should have been mild with a hint of bite. Everyone who likes spice should be able to eat these from national franchise chain location with no problem, there is no "heat" warning on the description. Jalapeno's are a beautiful pepper and need to be treated with good care. This didn't happen. It was too hot and overpowered the gorgeous flavor of the pepper.
The dough was dry and coated in flour. The taste was uncooked floury and overly spicy. Even my flatmate, who LOVES pure heat with no flavor didn't like these.
The second item, I'm not real sure what happened there. I ordered one of the papadia's and it's very specific, three ingredients only. The app will not let you add more. I ordered pineapple, ham and the cheese blend. I wanted a 'Hawaidia', LOL.
I ended up with pineapple, ham, Cheese blend, and....About 2 ounces of Jalapenos. The picture doesn't do justice to the amount of them in there. They were fully entrenched. And, you can see the seeds. Tons. Even after spending several minutes removing them, it was still pretty fiery.
I get it. Cook likes jalapenos. Order at your own risk? Include a disclaimer?
I filled out the survey, and they promised a contact. I received none. I got a code for a free papadia for doing the survey....I admit, I'm a...
Read moreWhen I went to pick up my carry out order, I noticed that the store manager was wearing his mask inappropriately, completely underneath his nose. I pointed this out to the cashier and said that I would need a refund as I could not then trust the safety of the food. He needed to get the manager to process the refund so went and told him. The manager came over, and still refused to fix his mask even after I pointed out why it needs to be over the nose to be effective at all. He initially refused to provide a refund and falsely insisted that my order was not in the system and then eventually was able to locate it and gave me the refund. The other employees in the store were all wearing masks appropriately, but it is especially problematic when a manager is not — it puts not only the customers but the employees at risk (especially in a location this cramped where social distancing is therefore non-existent), and it is obviously difficult for junior employees to push their supervisor on compliance. Everyone slips with mask discipline sometimes, so if he’d fixed it right away when this was pointed out, I still would have wanted a refund but would not have felt the need to write this review. But despite having it pointed out repeatedly, he...
Read moreI picked up an order of pizza and a dessert for an incapacitated family member. Food- the pizza was almost devoid of toppings. Received less than the ordered amount of sauce. The dessert bites were burnt and missing one (says 8 on website, only received 7). The website says real cheese used. Didn't seem like it. It was a stuffed crust and it was spit out due to it being rubbery and ineatable. Service and atmosphere. I was ignored for a while. 2 employees too busy joking around with each other. A third looking frazzled and trying to do everything by himself. I was told by the frazzled one that all the sauces were there, so I didn't check. Plus it was a very small, dirty place and I took him at his word.
It's a joke to go online this morning and find out that a customer has to call or come back within 30 minutes in order for this corporation to correct the problem. This was my first time going to this restaurant and won't ever go to...
