Clean and had good seating area. Server was nice but didn't give me the right food. My friend and I paid separately and had different things, but I got her identical order our bag of 1 cod fish and chips and cole slaw and 3 sauces. I ordered 1 cod fish and chips add 3 shrimp, 1 cole slaw, 1 tarter sauce, 1 cocktail sauce. Did not receive my 3 pieces of shrimp and the french fries were limp. The one cod was okay. We waited for our foods, so it hadn't been sitting around. She was putting our food in one bag as I came back from next door. Which was weird as it was two separate orders. $23.76 for my order and I automatically give 15% tip because I work in the industry. So I'm out $27.32. I should have checked my order but it was put together with my friends without asking us. The tarter and cocktail sauce were good though. Cole slaw was okay. Was it an off day for the restaurant? Maybe I should always check my food in a to...

delicious seafood, fair prices, quick turnaround, and incredibly warm-hearted service. i’ve been a repeat customer just for the clam chowder, which i found full of flavor, potatoes, and clams - but now, i’m obsessed with the cod sandwich. i’ve told multiple coworkers about it (huge, perfectly fried, comes with fries, includes fresh veggies with a delicious dressing) and said, if you try it and don’t like it, just give the rest to me and i’ll pay you what you spent! so far, every one of them has loved it and made it part of their regular lunch rotation 🎣

plus, the folks who run this spot are really generous. their credit card machine was down once when i didn’t have cash... the owner offered to treat me! i ran to a nearby ATM, of course, but i won’t forget the kindness. support an awesome POC business and treat yourself to a...

Our 4 year olds decided they wanted fish and chips. I googled and we decided we’d cross the Duwamish and head to West Seattle Fish House. They were closed! There was a hand scribbled note on the door explaining, “we needed a break more than they realized. We promise to be open August 1st.” We were disappointed and did another Google search and headed to Des Moines, but that alternate had a 40 minute wait and was hot and stuffy inside. We wound up nearby at a well known chain. The view of the marina and the red, smoke tinted setting sun were nice. Dropped $100 bucks there that I would have rather have spent at the West Seattle Fish House. We’ll come back and I will edit my review at that time. 3...

Overall rating: 4.6*: Liked and would recommend going here to family & friends. Food: I got the 3 pc salmon and chips and the mac and cheese. The portions are GENEROUS. The salmon was perfectly breaded and fried. The fries felt a little stale but I love fries in any form or fashion so that didn’t deter me! The mac and cheese was rich and creamy. And I’m not a big tartar sauce fan but whatever they do to theirs, I need that recipe. Service: The ladies running the shop were kind and helpful even coming out from behind the counter to hand my food to me. Atmosphere: Yes, there are a few tables but this is a take-out place. Take your food and start nibbling on it in the car on the way home!

This evening, I called in an order for the 2 piece and 3 piece cod. Their website list prices are $8.99 and $12.99 which is the price I paid one month ago for the same order. When I arrived at the restaurant they charged 5.99 per piece of fish and 2.99 for the fries more than doubling the price after tax. Plus the fish batter was different than the delicious flaky batter they previously used. Unfortunately, this price hike makes this restaurant not worth it.
