It was absolutely criminal that they were nearly empty when I arrived, they should have a line around the block at all hours. The value for money here is amazing, and honestly even at value price, the only complaint I have is that I wish the agedashi tofu broth had a touch more seasoning (which was happily solved by a splash of soy). Seriously though, it's not an expansive menu, but what they do they do well. Please visit. Also please note they are carry out only on Fridays. I will be back on more than a few Thursday afternoons. *Edit to add they have some of my favourite chopsticks ever for a dine in place.

The sushi is excellent, but I want to give a shout-out to the Karaage Don plate which is my absolute favorite. I've had karaage don elsewhere in Seattle and nowhere has it been as tender yet crispy as it is at Yume. The rice and sauce that come with are excellent as well. I usually get dinner and the next day's lunch out of it. We got into a habit of getting it about once a month for a while and Mandy who runs anything customer-facing is a gem. I absolutely love this place. The inside doesn't seat many and it's often incredibly busy for dinner service - prepare to get take out or wait for a table.

Quite possibly THE BEST salmon skin hand-roll I’ve ever had! -and I’ve had sushi in Tokyo, Japan. Time Sushi is family owned and operated, making it even more intimate and special. Mandy part owner and operator is one of the nicest restauranteurs I’ve ever met. Due to the economy they can’t find wait staff, which means you need to pick up take out or do like I did and eat your sushi on their lovely sidewalk patio. After a carafe of sake I didn’t even mind the colder temperatures 😉 Wear your parka and keep this delicious Magnolia sushi restaurant open! #EatLocal #supportLocalBusinesses

I'm not a major sushi person, but my best friend is so I searched the area we were going to picnic in. I'm not super high brow with most foods, usually the best places are the hole in the walls. However with the rawness of sushi I want something better quality so I'm not worried about any kind of illness.

I ordered the rolls for babies--aka anything tempura--and the happy hour rolls, which they still offer during COVID for takeout. The Vegas roll was outstanding, probably the best I've ever had. The roll with shrimp tempura with a ton of stuff on top (smoked salmon?) was also pretty great. The happy hour rolls were meh, wouldn't order again. Too plain for my taste.

Sushi is a strange dinner meal, I always wonder if I'm supposed to make a salad for the side because I'm never full for that long. But also feel like two fancy rolls for one person is too much food but also adds up quickly. This place wasn't cheap, or that affordable for regular dining--but no where in Seattle really is. Native Portlanders, like myself are a little spoiled with high quality food always being very inexpensive. Everything to eat out up here costs about 30% more outright + 10% tax. I'd say for the good rolls here estimate about 30$ a person. Our total was like 87$ for three people.

Overall amazing taste, and quick service. Options for people who aren't sushi...

I hesitated to post this review as I live in Magnolia and Yume is often very busy. I don’t want it to be busier yet; since I generally try to dine here several times a week. However, it must be said that this is a wonderful little sushi place in the heart of Magnolia Village. It’s a family operation with twin brothers working in the kitchen and the sushi bar. Mandy is married to one of the brothers. She is the lead hostess/waitress, and one of the nicest young ladies I’ve ever met. She makes you feel completely at home and assures that all goes very well, even when things get crowded. The reasonably priced food is, on a very consistent basis, as good or better than any Sushi/Sashimi I’ve ever had. Prices would be double downtown, and you wouldn’t enjoy either the food quality or overall ambiance. This family deserves recognition for the high standard of excellence they’ve brought...
