When you come to this park. You wanna see the ocean. You can't. The trees are overgrown so you don't get to see any of the ocean except what you can see through the leaves. All of the benches and most of the picnic tables are under plain sun with no shade. There's one swingset, one picnic area, one bathroom area. That's it.
Recently, the benches got fixed. I'm gonna put back a star for that. But this is a pretty sparse park. There is very little to look at. All I wanna do is look at the ocean. I love nature, but trimming these trees annually would really make this park a pretty amazingly scenic place to be.
More trees need to be planted. There's way too much just plain dead grass with nothing around it.
I want to give this more than a three star. But seeing that all of the really nice shaded part of the park has nowhere to sit at all. Makes me angry. Please plant more trees on the part where you're able to sit or put benches where there is trees and shade. One or the other....
Read moreIt has a great view and a good amount of parking. There is a ballot box and mail drop off if you want then detour to the park to remember there is something out there: life. Coming here during sunset is breath taking. Seeing the islands and the water was harmony. The people who live here are fortunate, there are home nearby so if you want serenity then be disposed to have people around doing outdoor activities like tennis, barbeques, and walking. It is generally quiet around sunset, so you can get at least a few moments of quiet besides...
Read moreIt's an old classic lookout. In fact, my sister's used to brag about 'the bluffs' being a favorite make-out spots, back in the 80's. Beautiful views, always plenty of parking, quick to get to from the city center, and easy to find. Check it out next time you find yourself in Queen Anne headed towards Ballard as a short getaway from the grindy traffic.
