My family ate here while we were vacationing in Vero Beach in early August. I so disagree with the review that said "somebody that works for the place must have written the reviews" that I just had to write one myself. This was probably the BEST breakfast my entire family has eaten in years. Every one of us commentated on how great each of the items were. I had eggs Benedict, my wife had pancakes, my grandparents omelets and my brother had a breakfast sandwich. Everything was simply amazing. Perfectly cooked. Also, the waitress was fantastic. Very friendly, very efficient and she made you feel at home. She was not intrusive but we had everything we needed. The manager I assume (she worked the register) also diffused my crying 2 year old in about 2 seconds by coming over and talking to him and then giving him a toy motorcycle. It saved our breakfast. I asked if she babysitted. :) He loved her at first sight. This is a great place that I highly recommend. We will be going back here as much as we can over the next week we are here...
Read moreThis is an open diner that had indoor and outdoor seating available. When you come in you have to wait to be seated. Usually the host will point to a table that is available is you don't want to sit outside. It gets crowded during the breakfast rush so make sure to come either early or late. They do have daily specials but nothing really sticks out as being original as far as breakfast foods. It's your run of the mill greasy spoon. I had the steak and eggs along with an order of French toast and bacon. They give you your own carafe of coffee to fill your mug which is nice. If you want a quick eggs bacon and toast, this is the spot for it. If you want custom items with specialty ingredients, this is not the place for that. The service is really fast. So fast that they seem to want to get you out of there as quick as possible and will start cleaning the table before you are really ready to go. Not a bad place to get a quick sit down breakfast if there is no other option, but there is really nothing that stands out as being a...
Read moreMy hubby really liked the ham and cheese omelet! You do have to wait awhile so if your not in a rush. We there today. I had a tuna salad on rye toast and onion rings. My husband had chicken fingers. I had a good portion of tuna in my sandwich but absolutely no taste and my onion rings under cooked. My husband's chicken fingers were fried so much the chicken melted. And his fries must have been the end of the bag. I feel with the prices today just for breakfast is what we used to pay for a dinner for two. At least our dining out should be forth the money we are spending. A a lot of trades/services just don't care anymore about quality and service. I'm sorry for their hurt or anger. Times have changed and it's now survival of the middle class. We need to help each other not fight against each other. It's only been what 31/2 years or so when we all were some what happier. Only we can change our outcome. Maybe we need to give God another chance? Just had breakfast there. Home fries taste like fried oil....
