Sebastian sandwich shack and grill — Restaurant in Sebastian

Whoever the Indian River County Burger judges for 2024 were, they need to step down. The only thing this burger comes in second place with is my wife (she's standing over me while I write this because I'm fetal on the floor experiencing what I can only describe as a religious experience or spontaneous euphoria).

I was recommended to go here by some people in Vero Beach. Whenever I try new places, I always get the burger first, if a restaurant messes that up, I don't go back. Not only did they get it right, I almost left my wife (she's gone to the other room, coast clear).

I always get a double and this was the first time I've had to preemptively take a patty off to eat a burger. They had to be a half a pound each. Next time I'll try to leave it on, but my doctor told me if I get lockjaw one more time, well ... it could be permanent. The fries were also hot and excellent.

Being able to banter with the staff while my order was cooking was fun as well! 2nd place......

UPDATE: Because one time can be a fluke, we had to try the Sebastian Sandwich Shack (SSS) again today. (The first time was about a week ago.) After a second go, we can comfortably say that the SSS is amazing!!! Last time, we got their Philly Cheesesteak and their Shack Attack. Both were delish! Today, we got their MOAB Burger (MASSIVE!!) and their Patty Melt. Again, yumbo! On top of enjoying their yummy food, we took advantage of their free delivery today. We were quoted 75 minutes, but the order came in 45 minutes! Surprise! They under-promised, but totally over-delivered! The food was still warm and very fresh. Good job, SSS! You've got another fan!

We eat there a couple times a week . The food is always fresh and well prepared. We had the cranberry turkey ham sandwiches and they were delicious. Their southwest salad can't be beat. Wait staff great, friendly and polite. However the last time we ate there a couple had their small dog with them outside eating at a table. They feed their dog from the table and the dog sat with his paws on the talble. I found it most distastful. That table will be wipped and then the cloth will be used on another table. I believe the ordinances in Florida allow dogs outside but they are to be on a leash and not to come in contact with any serving equipment. Someone needs to speak up and address this issue with pet owners. If I sat with my feet on the table I sure the owners with address this issue...
