Tiki Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Sebastian

I wish I could say this is a great option to eat at. First off the location and atmosphere is awesome. A band was setting up and I bet it would have been great...but we did not stay. What started off great just continued to go downhill. We were greeted with a friendly tall server. She smiled and told us to sit anywhere. Great! She brought us menus and said that Melissa would be our server. Cool! Melissa came by and took our order, two frozen pina coladas, Philly sandwich with potato salad and coleslaw. The frozen drinks came and was not strong at all, like coconut water. My boyfriend wanted to ask the server for something else. She wizzed by and dropped the food off and left before we could say anything. We were missing our waters and silverware. She noticed and came back with the waters and then as she came back with the silverware, she wizzed by, dropped off the silverware and ketchup. No stopping to ask if we needed anything else. I understand if you are busy with several tables and I'm sure it is a juggling act to keep up with. Respects to all servers! However, we began to eat and found that the food was not at all flavorful, very bland, no seasoning. Melissa came by and asked if everything was OK and I said no. SHE TURNED AROUND AND WALKED AWAY! I looked at my boyfriend and stated that she didn't even asked what the problem was. I stopped eating. And my boyfriend picked around the food. After 15 minutes, we waited for Melissa to come back as we decided to just go. My boyfriend got up to find her and tell her that we are ready for the ticket. He had the credit card out and again, she wizzed by dropping off the ticket and left. My boyfriend literally had the card up to give to her and she just left. He then decided that this is crazy and took cash out instead to pay the bill and left no tip but a note on the back of the ticket that this was the worst service ever. No disrespect but maybe Melissa is new, maybe doesn't know great service skills, or just not a great server. Sorry but not...

We had the worst service experience here a few weeks ago. We visit our grandparents in Florida every year, and always come to the Tiki Bar on Thursday for the Karaoke. It was one of our favorite traditions. However, we had a horrible experience the other week. We arrived at around 4:30 and ordered food around 4:45. We didn’t get our food until an hour later, which is fine and completely expected. However, my little brothers burger did not come with the rest of the food. We waited a few minutes, and then called our server Samantha over to let her know. She apologized and said she forgot to put the order in. We then waited and kept asking Samantha where the burger was. She kept lying to us and telling us it was coming next. 10 minutes pass, then 20, then 30, then 50… At this point, my little brother was starving and everyone else was long done eating. We were almost ready to the leave and it was getting late at this point. The burger came 1.5 hours later after the first round of food came. That’s a total of waiting 3 hours for one burger. I understand making mistakes, but Samatha should have put the order to the top of the batch so that my brother could eat with us. It was her fault she forgot to put the order in, so she should have made it right. We kindly asked her to take the burger off the check and she patronized us with a fake crying face. When the bill came, we were shocked to see the burger on the bill. In the 4 hours we were there, we each only had 1 drink as Samantha never asked us if we wanted another round, and avoided our table. We will never return, and will be spreading the word to my grandparents neighborhood to never return as well, which is unfortunate because it was all Samantha’s fault, not necessary the restaurant as a whole. This is a beach bar people….. no more, no less. It was a hot sunny afternoon. There was only one table in the shade, or sitting at the bar under a triangle tarp. All other tables were open to the sun. The tables had umbrellas, but were not to be opened because of the breeze????? Comfortable chairs. Our server, Gina, was attentive, but to be honest, it was not very busy. She actually told us that she did better when it was busy. This came up because our order came out incorrectly. I started with a cocktail, and they do have many to choose from. I went for the BEACHSIDE PEACH….. it had no taste of peach at all. I was disappointed. The conch fritters were overly fried making the outside tough to cut into. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich. What he got was the fish sandwich ☹️. Gina had ordered it correctly, but somewhere between the kitchen and the expeditor not checking…. It was wrong. Gina offered to exchange it, but we didn’t. It comes with 2 sides. He got the coleslaw and macaroni salad. They both needed a little help on flavor, but the product was fresh. I had the fish tacos. Seriously, they were among the best I have had. The fish was a nice dense piece, full of flavor. I was happy. I chose the fries and coleslaw. The fries were crisp and not soggy. Gina, our server,checked back on us regularly. In the end, this place is in a very lovely waterfront location on the River You can pull your boat up to the dock easily and have a nice afternoon lunch. I would have really liked some shade. It’s a beach bar on the river people, so don’t expect 5 star dining. Enjoy some drinks, nosh and you’ve had Nice day. Not sure what evenings would be here. Other reviews mention entertainment.
