Daniel's Kitchen — Restaurant in Selah

I Went to Daniels kitchen on 11/09/2020. The food was average. I left my prescription glasses that were in an Oakley sunglasses case on the table by accident.

We went back twenty minutes later to get my glasses and the table had been picked up but not cleaned.

My glasses and Oakley case were not there. I had to call the waiter out from the kitchen and he said no glass case or glasses were there, before he even tried to help me look for them.

I looked everywhere in the restaurant that I could, the booth, the cashiers table, basically anywhere I that I had been at and I didn’t find anything.

I told him I went straight from the restaurant to my nephews truck. I told him they were prescription glasses and they weren’t any good to anybody and that I just wanted my 600.00 Oakley prescription glasses back. He still insisted that he did not see them.

I left him my name and number and told him my glasses and Oakley case were there some where and told him to call me when he found them. He said they were not there, I told him that you told me they weren’t there before you even helped me look for them. He seemed very nervous to me. I once again told him that they were there and to just call me when he found them.

I also told him I was not upset and I just wanted my glasses back with no problems.

A family member was with me and said the glasses were on the table when he went to use the bathroom right before we left.

He went in and looked for the glasses also by himself and the waiter did not come out from the back.

There were no customer's in the restraint when we we’re eating and when we left. We came back twenty minutes later to get the glasses and there was only one family eating there on the other side of the restaurant.

I called them two hours later and asked him to have the owner of the restaurant call me.

Someone named Adrian, I believe called me from an Everette Wa number. He basically said no glasses were there and I told him yes they were and all that I wanted was to get them back. I told him I was not there to cause problems.

I told him that my family and families coworkers ate there and that we were not going to come there any more. All he said was OK! He wasn’t concerned at all.

So Daniels kitchen, I’m an honest hard working man and I don’t accuse people of things, but I believe somehow my 600.00 glasses were taken by someone who was in the restaurant.

All I want is my glasses and case, no problems. I would be very grateful and I’m not here to cause problems.

We looked everywhere and never left the truck before coming back to the restaurant.

If I somehow find them I will remove this rating and apologize.

But I will not go there again and would suggest that if you do. Don’t leave anything behind. It will grow legs and...

Well let's see when I walked in the waitress greeted me far away but that's okay she's probably busy and it was morning went to the bathroom it was clean. Set down waitress came over told her I have a hard time reading she helped me order you build your own breakfast She was patient with me. I ordered Egg almonds with sausage and cheese hash brown and toast and coffee coffee was hot but it tasted bland that's okay a little bit of sugar maybe not supposed to but I did Ate my meal enjoy my time got two cups of coffee out of it it cost. For one person $15.69 left the waitress $4.31 I guess if you want to set down enjoy a meal it's going to cost just a little bit more nowadays but a little time out of the house it's okay if you want to go somewhere quiet this is another one of them I enjoyed it thank you. Awful! I'm only giving two stars because the food was good. The first experience I had at the new location, I called in an order and when my boyfriend and I got there, the food was just sitting on the front counter! Not under a heat lamp or anything - the food was cold by the time we completed our 10 minute drive home. Second experience we chose to dine-in. The waitress had no idea what she was doing, possibly her first day? She didnt say that though. She told my boyfriend that a side of toast came with his order - it didn't - and we were charged extra. Also, my boyfriend ordered his eggs scrambled, only to receive them "sunny side up" mostly raw. They also initially brought the wrong order for me, after a surprisingly long wait. Then when we mentioned the extra charge at the check out, the woman who helped us was incredibly rude! Daniel's kitchen was amazing when I was a kid. They really went downhill after expanding.
