Steak 'n Shake — Restaurant in Seminole

Now that it's been a couple of days since my experience ( and it was definitely an experience) at Steak 'n Shake, I am calmed enough to do an accurate review. Let me begin by saying ..... I was hungry and upon exiting the Target store in the same parking lot ..... I thought ..... never tried Steak 'n Shake before and it was time. So.... not being familiar with the menu, I went into the restaurant to place a take-out order. I was greeted by a man ( middle-age) at the register, who took my order for a value-menu burger and fries. It actually sounded delish! Cheese, onions, mustard, pickles & ketchup (I only like ketchup on my fries!). So I ordered a burger with everything .....minus ketchup and a small chocolate shake. After about 10 mins. (which to me was reasonable) a young lady of colour, came to the counter and called my number. I picked up the order (which was paid for) and requested a couple of packs of salt/pepper/ketchup. Off to my car, with food anticipating something good! I carefully placed the milk shake (which I was holding in the middle of the cup) in my cup holder, and the bag containing the burger/fries and condiments on the seat beside me. Well Dear GAWD ..... I made the mistake of retrieving the milkshake from the cup holder by the top part, which was one of those clear plastic covers with a hole in the top .... similar to the ones McDonalds use. Well ...... the saga beings..... the top was not put on correctly and was only secured on one side. Upon lifting the whole friggin milk shake fell onto and between the seat of my car. Least to say, I had a chilled rear-end. I jumped out of my car seat to view the milk shake slowly making it's way between the back and seat cushions, and down the sides between the seat and the consule. PANIC.... look in the burger bag for napkins .....NONE! Then recalled having a box of kleenex in the back seat. Jumped out and retrieved the kleenex and proceed to pull them out in fist-fulls to try and wipe up the milk shake, dropping them to the ground as I worked. 10 minutes later a pile about 8 inches high of milkshake soaked napins was on the gound and my car smelled like stinking milk!!! Being an envirormentally conscientious soul ...... I searched around for a garbage can in which I could place the milk-shaked soaked napkins ..... GOOD GAWD .... no garbage cans. So by this time I was a little (what you would call) PO'd. I actually hoped they had a camera on the parking lot to see this situation. The I decided to drive around to the side to actually eat my hamburger (minus ketchup). Opened bag, unwraped burger, (was it possible this could get worse ..... YES, FRIGGIN YES!). Looked at condiments on burger ....... no cheese, no lettuce, no mustard, no pickles ....... only Gawd-Forsaken Ketchup. Then went to season the fries as I requested some packs of salt/pepper/ketchup ....... a fistful of ketchup packs and at least 10 packs of pepper ..... no salt. And let me tell you the fries are no screaming Hell! By this time...... I threw the burger back in the bag (with the pepper and ketchup packs), put the car in drive, and drove my cold ass out of there ........

Steak and Shake has always struggled with making food and running it out in a decent time but tonight was terrible. We waited over twenty minutes to be seated but got to enjoy a verbal argument at the register next to us which the manager did not deal with. Thank you to the other employees who politely told them to take it outside to solve the matter between themselves. Once we were taken to a table, we had to wait by it while it was wiped off. Disgusting. There were still pieces of food and trash from the previous customers on the table. Our waitress greeted us not long after asking if we would like drinks and were ready to order. We ordered drinks but waited to order food. When we did order food, we also ordered three milkshakes hoping they would come before or during the meal. The food arrived about twenty minutes later but there was no ketchup or seasoning since the waitress had taken the container and placed it on the end of the table with nothing replenished in it. It was then a ten minute wait before she came over to ask what we needed. I specified seasoning and ketchup but only received one of the items. I then took my pick from the tables around us who had some. The food itself was not terrible and had good flavor. Not sure if it was worth the wait but for the price, you can't beat it. As we finished our meal and our drinks, we piled our items on the end of the table still waiting for our milkshakes and refills which never came. We waited for another ten minutes to find our waitress folding silverware. It's not bad to be doing your job but it is bad to leave the customers waiting on purchased items and the bill. Finally, she approached us and I informed her that we were waiting on milkshakes. She then took out her pen and pad and asked what we would like to order. This was absurd since we had been waiting on three milkshakes we had already ordered. She then walked over to the counter to review our ticket and found the problem. She then stopped and asked if we would like it in to-go cups since we were finished with our meal. She apologized for what happened and placed the blame on someone when it was her fault. As we took our bill to the register, we waited for someone to cash us out. We waited and waited as employees continued doing their business. When a server finally approached us, I asked to speak to the manager because my visit had been anything but pleasant. I informed him of the milkshake situation and he said nothing but asked if we had ordered them with our meal. I assume he took them off the bill but had no explanation or apology for the service received. Overall, the wait was not worth it and I will not be coming back if I am given horrible service like...

2 Dead flies in my salad....A Weirdo working in the drive thru beware........Ryan or Randy....."0" stars...I work overnights so I come to this location because they have fresh salads,but tonight there was a Sysco food delivery truck by the drive thru running....I placed my order twice but the weirdo staff apparently couldn't hear my order due to the semi-truck idling so I pulled around to the window and proceed to give this jerk my order with a coupon. HE shuts the window as I was ordering and returns with an attitude and states, "That will be six hundred dollars and seventy four cents". SO I thought he was joking and I asked him to repeat the total, he said the same thing....So I waited until he gave me the appropriate total and then he says, "What! You can't decipher numbers?"....I said, "It's almost 2 in the am.....It's just need my salad please and the correct total." He snatches the card from my hand. I ask for the managers name..He said, "There are No managers." He returns 5 minutes later with my card and he continues to peek around the corner numerous of times....so I took a picture of his weird behavior. He return with my salad, no dressing nor utensils...I blow the horn...He ignores me...I took another picture of how close he was to the drive thru window...I get back to my job, open up my salad only to find 2 dead flies on top...I believe this Weirdo placed the dead flies in my...
