Me and my sister ate here today for lunch 😡 Ordered Chicken Nachos from the whiteboard that was the special. When it came it had a chili sauce with the chickenI tried one bite but I didn't like it at all so I asked did the beef have that same sauce? The waitress said yes.. I will get my manager, manager came with a menu and asked did the waitress mess it up I said no I didn't know it came with that strange chili sauce.. So manager began to read what came on them as she used her finger to read each line. I said I didn't look at the menu I looked at that whiteboard and just got that. She said would you like to try a sample of the beef in a little dish? I said yes please. But it was not good so I said I will just send the nachos back and I apologized. She took my Nachos away. When we got to the register she charged me for the Nachos because she said that was our mistake for not reading the Menu once again. and said that was on us not them!!! Wow terrible customer service. WE WILL NEVER GO...

Food was super delicious! Had the chile relleno with cheese sauce (stuffed with ground beef). The churros were warm on the outside but the filling was cold. Portions were small. Chile relleno dinner plate came with only one chile and rice and beans were small portion.
The service was good. Kind and courteous waiter. Attentive and responsive.
Atmosphere was exceptionally clean, but lacked decor. Restaurant has white walls and from pictures you would not guess that it’s a Mexican restaurant.
Bathrooms were clean and kept up.
Lunch for two on the weekend, was $24 (before tip). Not bad considering inflation and it’s not fast food.

We have been visiting Ortega's on and off for a year or so. They're only open Monday thru Friday again so weekends are a hard no. The salsa is usually great but the food is just meh. Tonight's fajitas ($16 special) were fresh but there was zero sizzle or the flame kissed char. No glorious aroma either. Zero flavor. The rice and beans were OK, the guacamole was tasty. We arrived shortly before the rush hit and were still served timely. Overall, it's a fair stop when you have no other options but keep your expectations low and leave your taste...
