We have enjoyed dinner at Seven Springs twice before for Christmas and once for Easter. So, we went to Seven Springs with intentions of enjoying our 3rd Christmas Buffet again this year, 2024. But we were very disappointed with the food this time. And it wasn't just one thing, it was a combination of several problems with the items served. We were surprised with the much smaller portions that were served. When I removed the fat & overcooked portion from the perimeter of the prime rib served, I had a portion to eat that wasn't much bigger than a silver dollar. And it was cut much thinner than prime rib I've been served before at Seven Springs. I understand prime rib cannot be served very hot and still maintain the proper redness of the meat. But the piece on my plate was actually cold. The temperature of all the food served was not hot or warm enough to enjoy eating. The stuffed chicken wasn't just cold, but it should have been coated with gravy or another liquid to prevent it from drying out so much. It had to be cut in very small pieces to chew. I gave up after eating two small bites. The ham was very flavorful but the outer one inch was dried out as if it wasn't basted during the cooking process or had any liquids poured over it to prevent drying out. The ham was also sliced very thin. The side dishes were not appealing. They appeared to have been prepared long before the meal was being served. They were only slightly higher than room temperature. Within 5 minutes of us sitting down at our table, all the food on our plates was only room temperature. The mashed potatoes, stuffed chicken and mixed vegetables were too cold to eat. The salad bar and desserts were good. We made reservations and was seated at a table for (2). Being disabled, it is much easier for me to sit and eat at a table for (4). We arrived for dinner at 4pm, the time we reserved. The restaurant was no more than one half full the entire time we were there. Upon arrival, we asked for a table that seats (4) to accompany my disability and we were told by the hostess, and our server, that the tables were all reserved and they could not move us. Yet, the entire restaurant was no more than one half full at any time we were there. I've skied at Seven Springs from the early 1970's until the end of 2002. In addition, I have eaten and lodged at Seven Springs many times over the years. We won't be going to Seven Springs anymore for any holiday dinner. Our server, Sam, was an absolute delight. She frequently checked with us to see if we needed anything or refills on our beverages. She truly was the best part of our...

The most defining feature of this dining spot is its unmatched convenience. The location is absolutely key, situated right within the resort, you don't even have to step foot outside, which is perfect whether you're dodging bad weather or just maximizing your time on-site. For guests who want to stay immersed in the resort experience, there is simply no reason to leave the property for a meal.
During our visit, we happily leaned into the festive atmosphere by enjoying the Oktoberfest buffet, which felt perfectly fitting given we were there for the Seven Springs Oktoberfest celebration. The buffet offered a wide variety of themed food, and we enjoyed the selection.
While the food itself isn't necessarily a culinary destination that would earn a 5 star rating, it's consistently enjoyable, well-prepared, and hits the spot. When you factor in the sheer ease of access, this restaurant becomes the go-to, practical choice for any resort guest looking for a hearty, good meal without the hassle.
It's a solid, reliable 4 star experience defined by comfort and...
Read moreI hadn’t been here for years, but have always had fond memories of the place, having grown up in the area in the 60’s and 70’s. I’ve been back many times since. We were promptly seated at a lovely table with great views of the slopes. Everyone was pleasant. As for food and service, maybe we just picked a bad night. With the entrees, the menu said we got “bread, family style side salad, family style sides, and a dessert to share”. We never got the bread though we asked 3 times. We were told “our bread is stale. I’ll have to go downstairs and get some.” It never came. My husband ordered a Caesar salad with chicken. It came without chicken with the explanation “we are out of chicken.” We never got the promised dessert. The chicken parm my parents ordered was burnt on both ends. The two side dishes were tasty. The salads came after we were all finished eating, so we boxed them up. They were generously portioned and did look good. Needless to say, I came away quite disappointed. Now what I remember at all, and certainly not what I would call “resort...
