Disappointing Experience at Mitchell's Ice Cream Shop

Today I visited Mitchell's Ice Cream Shop in Cleveland with my girlfriend, excited to treat her to a high-quality milkshake. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by poor customer service and a lack of attention to detail.

Upon entering the shop, we were greeted friendly by the male employee, but it quickly became apparent that he was in a rush. He struggled to prepare our milkshakes, and it seemed like he didn't follow the proper liquid-to-ice cream ratio. The result was a thick, messy milkshake that he had to tap out of the blender, creating a mess on the counter and cup.

When I asked him to add liquid and re-blend, he appeared upset and seemed put off by my request. The cup was still messy, and the counter area was a mess as well. I ended up asking the female employee who prepared my milkshake to remake my girlfriend's, and I paid for three milkshakes in total.

What was most disappointing was the employee's attitude and lack of concern for the quality of the product. When I told him to discard the poorly made milkshake, he seemed unconcerned. It's clear that some employees don't understand the importance of customer service and attention to detail.

While I appreciate Mitchell's Ice Cream Shop's reputation for quality, this experience was a letdown. I won't be visiting this location again...

Our family regularly orders ahead, in order to avoid the lines and provide the store time to make our orders without fuss. Lately, we’ve been met with impolite employees, who find it suitable to ignore a 10 year old waiting on his online order. Tonight we picked up a partial order. The picture attached is suppose to be a triple scoop, 2 scoops Pralines & Cream, 1 scoop Cookies & Cream. Provide was one mini scoop of cookies n cream and possible one scoop of pralines. It’s sad to say the quality of customer service and product is decline during the busiest season.

Update: The incident above was not addressed by the store however, we have been back since and had a pleasant experience. I’ve seen this ice cream store at its busiest time and patience...

I have been a fat guy all my life, and this is because I love good food! When I heard about Mitchel's I instantly was head over cankles for their Caramel Sea Salt ice cream! While in the area tonight, I tried to get some at the Beechwood Mall location, and the absolute lack of organization there made it impossible. We left there and went to the Van Aiken location where it was like a drive through! The young man who helped us was Andrew. He was courteous, polite, and swift at getting our order. The milkshake version of the caramel sea salt did not make it from their location to I-271S. It was too good to...
