I have not been here for a couple of years and as I understand, it has new owners. I did like the donuts here in the past and decided to treat the family to some donuts this morning. I got a dozen donuts around 6am. When I got them home, I noticed ALL of the donuts were cold...not cold like from the weather (and it wasn't that cold out so it couldn't have been from that) but cold like they had been refrigerated. I also could tell they were refrigerated since many of the donuts had that moisture/humid look to them like they were in the fridge. Note, I did not expect them to be warm, but I DID EXPECT them to be baked that morning=fresh. I assume they do have fresh donuts later in the morning, but apparently if you are early in to get them, you get yesterdays that did not sell and they pass them off as freshly made that day. Looking at the donuts and tasting them, they for sure were not made today, definitely day old for sure. None had the fresh taste, all tasted stale. Also, the peanut donuts had little to no peanuts on them. Same for the coconut donuts, little to no coconut. The powdered sugar filled creme donuts had little creme in them too. Maybe this place used to be good years ago, but with the old donuts and skimping on the ingredients I would go elsewhere for your donut craving. I will...

I personally worked at Donut Connection in the summer of 2012 and I highly discourage anyone from eating and/or working here. The back room where all the donuts are made is very unclean and I'm not sure when the last time a health inspector took a good look at the place. There are fruit flies all over back there, and some of the equipment doesn't get cleaned as often as it should. A lot of the restaurant is in great need of repair. The owner never has any of his employees fill out new hire paperwork, not even an I-9 or W-4, yet taxes were still taken out of my checks. He bad talks his employees and his customers half the time he's in back making donuts. I was offered a new position after working there for roughly a month that required me to come in at 2am, sometimes 1am, and work until 9am or 10am. I would get ONE break at around 4:00am for a max of 10 minutes IF and ONLY IF I had iced and glazed enough donuts. I was not allowed any more breaks. I kept the position for roughly two weeks until I just couldn't take it anymore and I quit. He also never paid me for the overtime I put in on a daily basis, which is illegal.
