I gave the Ale House 3 stars because it was a pleasure in most ways... we sat at the table outside, the one in the posted picture outside on the sidewalk and the weather was perfect for an early dinner... the interior has been updated, the bathrooms were clean and modern... the whole place seemed clean... we had the pulled pork app and the pork was smoky delicious... had the blue bacon burger on pretzel roll and it was very tasty... she had the brisket sandwich and enjoyed it, but noted that the brisket wasn't as smoky as the pulled pork... now, be careful at this place... we were offered the choice of sides of chips, fries or salad, I got the fries and she got the salad... come to find out they charged us for those two ($3 for the salad and $2.25 for the fries) and they charged me an extra $1 for asking for lettuce and tomatoe on my burger... up charge, eh, ok, but at least tell us... the wait staff was the biggest disappointment... orders were mixed up... it took 45 minutes to get our food, which she never addressed with us... once, when we were asking about our food, she told us it was ready as she got "buzzed" and then came from the kitchen empty handed and ignored us again... my girlfriend had a 2nd drink brought to her without asking our being asked... they really didn't have their act together... next time, I think I'll eat at the Italian joint across the street from...

Was out on the motorcycle and found this little gem by luck. I was promptly welcomed in by a sweet gal named Amber. She was super friendly and engaging and offered me the history of the Ale House which is a pretty neat story and I love that kind of history.

Unbelievable selection of local and not so local beers which is nice because I only have one when on the bike. My wings came out really fast. While I was put off at first that they weren't tossed in sauce as I prefer, it ended up being a non-issue. They included lots of extra sauce and I doused them immediately. They were EXPERTLY cooked. Really crispy without being over done. Best wings I've had in a while and I'm a bit of a wing addict.

All in all, this place is clean, affordable with a really diverse menu and great service. While it's around 150 miles away from my home,...

I ordered steak fries. When they came out they were fries with gravy and pieces of meat. The waitress took them back and returned a few minutes later with the thing stating this is what I ordered. We asked to speak to a manager. She came out with the same plate and said that’s what you ordered. She said she would send an owner out to speak with us. We finished our dinner and the waitress brought the check as well as a bag that had the gravy fries in a container. Our check also showed a charge of $13.00 for the gravy fries. We asked to see an owner. The co owners came out and gave us a hard time. I said we would pay for everything except the fries. The one owner agreed and took it off our bill. My Chicken fingers were terrible. They were fried or something that they were hard. I suggest you think twice before eating at this...

Since my post was removed by this business from their Facebook post and I was blocked, I've decided to leave a more public review here. We moved to the coal region 10+ years ago and frequently got food from this business. After COVID however things seem to have gone downhill. Food was randomly cold and prepared poorly. The final straw for our family was when food from our order came literally melted to the styrofoam it was sent to us in. We reached out to tell them what happened so they could make it right, and instead we got no response except for a "love" reaction on the picture we sent of the ruined food. Please do yourself a favor and read what locals are posting on social media in regard to this business and their owners before spending your money there.

Went to the ale house tonight I took one sip and this drink tasted like I sprayed perfume In my mouth so the two girls I’m with tried a sip and they gaged as well the waitress(melody) was rude and instantly yelled you still have to pay so I asked to talk to a manager and she said I still had to pay even though I didn’t drink the drink nor would they exchange it for something else so with that being said that will probably be the last time I go to the ale house mostly disgusted with the waitress and the managers attitudes because they made me pay for it the one girl tried drinking it but couldn’t do it she said it was too nasty

The service was great. Our waitress was really nice, helped get a table cleaned up/ready for us pretty quick, and was attentive throughout the dinner. I got the buffalo chicken stromboli and it was banginnnnn' 🤣. It definitely had a bite to it so if you're not into spicy try a different kind or just load it with extra ranch to tame it down. The stromboli dough itself is delicious has great seasoning/flavor to it and is the perfect consistency. Honestly can't wait to visit town to order again. Picture below of leftovers brought home.
