Frank's Seafood — Restaurant in Sharon Hill

Attention all Sharon Hill residents: I for one will not be patronizing Frank’s Seafood on Chester Pike in Sharon Hill any longer. While I waited for my food, the gentleman remarked to one of his workers in a very rude manner “[Name] clock out, your done. You don’t know the difference between a male and a female? Get out of here, go home. And you’re done at 5:00 (it was 5:15).” I honestly could not believe what I was hearing. I am not one to sit back and watch, so I spoke up. I asked him was he the owner and he told me he wasn’t. So I told him that I was thoroughly appalled by the way that he spoke to his worker, and that as a trainer, supervisor, whoever that that is not the way you speak to your workers. I told him that he degraded his worker in front of not only his coworkers, but the patrons as well. He in turn told me “it’s ok, he’s been here three weeks.” I told him, no it is not ok. That it is not what you say but how you say it, and as a member of this community and someone who is coming into patronize this business, I won’t stand here and watch him talk to his workers like that 🤷🏽‍♀️. He told me that “I didn’t have to come back” and that as a boss “he could talk to his workers any way he wishes 🤔. In short, please do not support this business. IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE NO STAR I WOULD. I live in this area for years and finally went to Franks seafood on Chester pike with family and friends. I placed an order for the fish combo plater. The counter was low so I was able to watch my food be prepared by one of the staff members. The rest of my combo platter was complete and only needed the fish to complete my order. Once the fish was ready, which by the way was steamed, I watch the staff member who was handling my platter, drop my fish on the floor, of course I believe that was a mistake, so I continued to watch the staff member look around as if he was making sure no one have seen him, The staff member then notice I was looking and then he proceeded to scoop the fish up with the spatula that he was carry the fish with. He then close the platter and put the platter in a plastic bag and said my order was ready! Once he said that I was COMPLETELY in disbelief of what I just witnessed. I then told the staff at the register what I just seen. They received the platter and seen that the fish was all broken up with dirt particles on the broken fish. I was refunded and NEVER went back. I eat BLUE crabs literally ALL year round. In winter months I normally order online from Maryland and have them next day air delivered. However my favorite place has closed down and I really didn’t want to spend $300+ to have crabs shipped to me especially with the weather being nice. So my mother and I decided to walk in take a look around and maybe give this place a try. Upon walking in the staff was pleasant,greeted and s and eager to help,the store was clean and didn’t have foul fish smell like other seafood spots I’ve been to. I usually steam my own crabs but I didn’t feel like the whole process so I order 1dz of Large males, with extra mild seasoning and cooked in beer. It was about a 30 min wait but it was well worth it. They were all Extremely Big and HEAVY!! Cooked to perfection is an understatement!! The meat was so sweet. Blue crabs are my absolute favorite and this place has my business forever lol!!!!
