Last weekend I went I stopped in at The Block and the concept is really cool and the workers tried their absolute best to make the dining experience good for us. There are multiple themed bars in there which is creative for sure. However, the themed bars lacked execution. The Das Boot German Bar was lit up brighter than a hospital room and had little to no decorative pieces anywhere that resembled a German bar. It almost seemed like they opened the establishment before it was ready. Not to mention the check situation was a mess. They could not keep track of what anybody ordered and it took over an hour to figure out the check situation. Meanwhile we were planning to go down to the Speakeasy but because the checks took so long we missed the opportunity to go. However we figured that we would try going down to the speakeasy anyways because you would think that the owner/manager would want to keep people in the bar to make more money but the owner/manager actively stopped us in just a very odd manner stating that the Speakeasy was closing down for the evening (it was 9:30 pm on a Friday night). I am not sure if the owner/manager likes money or not but because of that weird interaction, we ended up just going to a different bar. Lastly, the beer is way too overpriced. $6 for an IC Light is actually criminal. I would rather go to anywhere else and pay half of that for a Coors light. I won't give up on this place yet but until this place makes some changes I probably won't be going back...

We stopped in after the parade for appetizers and beer. We got seated right away, but then it appears we were forgotten about. Awhile later when someone finally took our order we were told they were out of three of the items we wanted to order. How they were out of 3 items of a special menu for St Patricks weekend on Saturday afternoon before dinner time I'm unsure. I am also unsure how a restaurant manages to only have 3 appetizer type options for one of the heaviest drinks and appetizer weekends of the year. Either way we ordered and they brought the app right away. The chips were way over cooked. My wife's beer was brought right away, but my beer was never brought. 20 minutes later and 3 stop by of the waitress to say she needed to change out keg and still no beer so we left. This is our 3rd straight visit where there was clear confusion by the wait staff on who did what. Not good. I try and support local but don't really want to go...

So all in all this place is great in downtown Sharon! The food is really good for the area!! The multi themed restaurant idea is super cool and is definitely a reason to keep coming back! For this visit we stayed on the main floor and hung out in the Irish pub area and we ended up ordering off the German beer hall menu. We got an app of the fried gurkan and an order of the pierogi's and they were both really good. The gurkan was absolutely fried perfectly, the sauerkraut pierogi's were amazing! The potato pierogis were also good, although the potato stuffing could use just a touch more seasoning. Absolutely would order both again as is though! For entrees we got the wurst platte and the steak jasper spaetzle and it was really good as well. No complaints on either of them! Check it out if you get the chance to stop by! Also the drink selection is great and will only get better once their liquor license...

This is a really awesome place. It has 5 different restaurants in one. German, Irish, Spanish, Tiki, and Italian. Depending on where you sit the cocktails and beer are themed for that room, however you can order food from ANY of the restaurants. The food is spectacular. They have a children’s menu too and it’s priced very well. Portions were larger. All the food was absolutely delicious. The Bavarian pretzel with the mustard and cheese was the best pretzel we’ve had. The kids portions were so large. We could have easily split a meal with our kids as we ended up with an entire meal left over. So good especially for the price. The fries were delicious. My 5year old thought they were the best he’s ever had. The staff was amazing and the atmosphere was great. We will definitely come back and try another room another time so try the drink specials there. You must stop by and give this place a try. It’s truly a hidden gem.

Such a GEM! This is literally 3 unique places in one - great downtown establishment that even has a "hidden" speak easy that can only be entered with a secret password - SO COOL! Our server Tiffany was outstanding and does a wonderful job of recreating the 1920's atmosphere right down to her attire. Food was excellent hand crafted chef prepared but very reasonably priced in good quantity. They offer craft beers, unique hand crafted cocktails and other beverages. Really encourage you to make a point to go experience THE BLOCK for yourself!
