We drove over 2 hours to come here for a prom dress. When we first walked in we were greeted by a very friendly older woman who explained the tickets for pricing and where dresses are located. That was where the friendliness stopped, however. She was the ONLY woman in that whole store who was nice. The first set of dresses my daughter tried on were all from the first floor which is where they said all the prom dresses were located. We take 5 dresses to the first dressing room on the first floor. After trying 3 on, we realized we needed a different size. There were 2 woman standing where you hang the dresses up that you don't want in the fitting room. They where standing there talking badly about a customer in the store. I hung the dresses up and said we needed to get a different size. As I walked away, the one younger girl says "why would you even pick out 5 dresses if it's not your size?" to the older woman standing with her. The older woman smirked back "I don't know, but that pretty dumb, what do you expect?". We walked out and I asked a woman working by jewelry if there was a manager or someone around. She points to the older woman who was just in the fitting room talking badly about customers (and us) and says "she's the owner". I was stunned. I let it go and we continued to look for a dress. We find out that there are more dresses on a different floor, so we go to that floor to find that is where MOST of the prom dresses are, particularly the ones priced under $500). So my daughter finds a couple she wants to try. Nobody that works at this store is helpful or friendly besides the older woman working the front door. Whenever we would ask a question to ANYONE, we would get nothing but attitude and annoyance. She found a dress she liked for $200 and that was, by FAR, the cheapest dress we came across. We took the dress to the counter to check out. There were 4 woman total behind the counter. There was 1 customer ahead of me and they were waiting for something. So we stood there waiting.... And waiting. NOBODY SAYS A WORD TO US.... NOBODY SAYS ANYTHING ALONG THE LINES OF "SORRY, WE ARE WAITING FOR A PRICE CHECK"..... NOTHING. NOT A WORD. Yet there are 4 of them working and they looked at us numerous times. Finally I asked if we could pay for the dress. One lady responds "yeah, after we help the customer in front of you, we are trying to get a price for them" in the most annoyed tone you can imagine. Not sure what the other 3 women were doing, there were multiple registers available. So we continue to wait. We wait for 45 minutes before finally she says we can step forward. Takes her about 5 minutes to check us out and we leave. No "goodbye", no "have a nice day", no "thanks for shopping with us"..... Nothing. We could not wait to get out of that place. It's dark and gloomy. They don't have air conditioning (at least didn't have it that day and it was hot)..... They DID however have one of the ceiling panels cut in the fitting room that they stuck a box fan into on its side, but it wasn't turned on. It was pretty run down and I can't imagine having a box fan on its side in the ceiling with the cord hanging down is the most safe way to do things. There was stuff everywhere in the downstairs dressing room. It looked like a store version of Horders. Stuff on the floor, stuff shoved in corners. They clearly hadn't vacuumed for a very long time. The paint is chipping everywhere and things are broken everywhere. You'd think if that's how they save money, the prices wouldn't be so extremely expensive. Dont go here expecting a large selection. (Unless you include dresses from the 70's and 80's that other stores got rid of years ago because it wouldn't sell due to being so ugly) Don't expect quality. (the $200 dress we bought had loose strings all over it, the zipper wouldn't zip all the way and some of the embellishments had fallen off, we had to do quite a bit of work on it) And CERTAINLY don't make a long trip here because you'll be very disappointed. Read moreAlthough I love my dress, I would not recommend anybody go here due to the extremely poor customer service. I had absolutely no guidance during my initial visit from the girl helping me. She barely said 2 words during the two hours I was there. She also sized me completely wrong. She initially said prior to ordering that they tend to size big. She sized me leaving lots of room and the measuring tape was loose fitting. I called to see if my dress was in because I was told it would be in by July and it was now a week into August.. then I was told it did come in. I expressed how during my last visit I felt I had no help or guidance and named the girl I had, thinking I wouldn’t have her again since I expressed my last experience was so bad and disheartening as a bride. They seemed understanding on the phone, and I thought I would have somebody else helping me today.. I was given the same girl who truly made my experience so awful I left in tears. She also told me the wrong color to order initially, so I chose that and realized (thanks to my future MIL) it was wrong and wouldn’t have the nude middle section I wanted. I asked if the ivory ivory just meant a whiter color dress with the nude middle section still there. I was told yes by the girl helping me so I ordered the ivory ivory, not the ivory sand honey. So, I had to call once my MiL pointed it out to have it switched. The manager also put that on me today as if it was my fault, when in reality, your employee is the one who told me to order that! When I went today to try my dress on, I truly could have gotten a dress two sizes down, but went with what she recommended. I was SWIMMING in my dress. Obviously I expected to have my dress altered, that’s a given. When she resized me today, she pulled the measuring tape so tight my skin was folding over it. I was told I had a 29 bust… i am a 34B. I have literally gained weight since the first visit, and the manager very rudely said I lost weight… when in reality, some of your employees have no business being in this line of work and can’t size properly.. truly. We asked what my options were, and were very rudely told “well you signed a contract..” obviously. Again, although I love my dress, I would never return or recommend this store to any future bride as my entire experience was an absolute nightmare. This is also one of maybe 3 google reviews ever. I do not recommend for bridal. Order online or go...
Read moreMy daughter is getting married in July. At our first appointment she tried on and chosen her dress. The 2nd appointment her dress came in and she tried dress on as well as some veils and picked out her veil so now there's really no need to return unless I decide to look for a mother of the brides dress for myself but it's likely I will NOT shop here again. First, we were required to make an appointment which is expected. However, we were only allotted a two hour appointment and under the best circumstances isn't much time for the bride to explore all the dresses she wants to before settling on "the one" unless you leave and make another appointment. I found it frustrating for a few reasons. The bride had her maid of honor, her grandmother, her mother, and her God mother (and aunt) our presence was treated, at best, as if we didn't even exist. Even worse, we felt unwelcome and were treated like we were intruding. It was clearly understood staff preferred appointment to be with the bride only. Which was even more confusing cuz the bride wasn't treated any differently than her loved ones. We all left disappointed and felt " cheated " out of the excitement, the fun, the bonding, and ever other emotion a bride expects as she prepares for one of the biggest days in her life. Idk...maybe we expected too much. We did not expect it to be like in the movies but we did expect the bride to try on dresses she looked at and liked as well as her loved ones but anything we wanted to try on was put aside and never brought out no matter how many times we asked. The staff acted as though they were bored, didn't like their job and couldn't get us out the door fast enough. We dropped a few hints about how we expected this experience to be fun and exciting and all its supposed to be for a bride...letting them know we're disappointed and hoped they would turn it around but just never happened. I even tried to consider buying a mother of the bride dress but no matter how many questions I tried to get answered and assistance I had hoped for, once again the staff stood there, never helping and basically gave the impression that's not what they do. And I've never got that answered.....WHAT IS IT THAT THE STAFF IS SUPPOSED TO BE DOING? well, I'd like to officially thank the winner for officially ruining the single biggest experience in a brides road...
