Well, if I’m gonna leave a review, I might as well have it be a detailed one . We haven't eaten here in almost 8 years because my husband wasnt a fan when we ate there last but we had high hopes after the reopening after the tornado hit as this is the only Italian restaurant in town. We came in around 8pm so the rush was gone, when we entered we saw a sign that said wait to be seated and we did, multiple employees walked right past us with out even saying a hello or have you been helped etc…(this to me is extremely important, its like a first impression) we waited several minutes and then we were shown our table, I was expecting the inside to be a little more “fancy” it reminded me of a pizza joint. The AC was working so good, it was hard to be comfortable as it was blowing directly on us from both sides of the booth, but my husband didnt mind. We ordered an appetizer (cheese bread) at the same time as our meal and salads came with our dinner. I ordered my salad without tomatoes, and I was surprised to see that when it came it was just salad and dressing and a pepper. But i liked it. My husband ordered the same salad, but his was supposed to have tomatoes on it, and there were none. I ordered Tortellini Scremati-Meat Tortellini sautéed with mushrooms and chopped prosciutto, tossed in Alfredo. It was delish, but I didn’t see any meat inside of my tortellini and there was no chopped prosciutto. It was just chopped ham instead, but overall, I still liked it and ate it all. My husband ordered Chicken Sofia-Grilled chicken breast served with sautéed mushrooms, crab meat, baby shrimp, and cream sauce. Served over spaghetti pasta., he requested no mushrooms but it came with mushrooms, he gets sick sometimes when he eats them. We did tell them of this and they did offer to make another plate, but we insisted it would be ok and we just removed them. His tasted pretty good but chicken was dry. Crab meat was imitation crab. Our daughter ordered off the kids menu and ordered spaghetti and a butter and Parmesan sauce, but she ended receiving two raviolis and butter and Parmesan sauce however, she did say they tasted delicious. They also offered to remake hers as well and we declined. Overall, the food that we did receive tasted delicious and the marinara sauce that came with the Italian bread was amazing! Im only giving 3 stars due to service, mixups, and I dont feel like the price is good with the amount of portions and the lack of using quality crab meat and substituting the prosciutto to chopped ham. For 3 of us dinner was $67 which included a soda and 3 beers. Id be ok with the price if portions were a little larger. We may have to...
Read moreOk haven't done a review in a bit but this place warranted a review. And not for anything good. Unfortunately before we even ordered the guy watching the place gave us the creeps. Looking at the menu my husband leans over and says does this place give you kitchen nightmares vibes... Well yes it did. The menu had a decent selection. He got the baked ziti, 2 of the kids and I did the fettuccine alfredo and one of the kids got the manicotti. The food comes with salad or soup and rolls. We all did salad with 2 selecting the house dressing that turned out to be ketchup and the rest did ranch which was watered down. Very disappointed with just the salads. The rolls looked nice but had no flavor and the butter they supply is single use container. When the food came out the fettuccine was over cooked and the Alfredo sauce tasted like it was from a can. It was not creamy and extremely heavy. The manicotti had a filling of what I can assume was ricotta and covered in unflavored tomato sauce. It was very greasy. For the baked ziti it had very little sauce no meat and a light cover of cheese. They do have a dessert menu but we were too afraid to try anything else. We paid our bill and as we were leaving we happened to look over the half wall and you could see the kitchen. It was disgusting had we seen it on the way in we would not have stayed. Needless to say this is the worst "Italian restaurant" we have been too. The chain "By the Bucket" was better than this. I think we will stick to Olive Garden until we find an authentic Italian restaurant that...
Read moreWe ate here for both the first and final time on 04/29/21. I ordered what the staff referred to as "Shrimp Fettuccini Alfredo."
Reasonably priced at around $20, coming out to a paltry $4 per shrimp! As a bonus--you receive all 5 shrimp with the tails still attached, which appears to serve the as the differentiating mechanism between these "shrimp" and "chewy bits of pavement worn tires."
The Alfredo sauce was the color and texture of chicken gravy mixed with 3 times the recommended amount of water. Flavor hits the palette in an identical manner as warm cotton.
Other delicacies we enjoyed during our foray into Italian perfection were: Water and Chicken soup (served at room temperature for safety), a child's Ravioli meal served at twice the temperature of the sun (because children are impervious to 3rd degree burns), some 'thing' akin to a folded pizza dough with mozzarella haphazardly tossed in the middle, a salad consisting of scrap lettuce pieces and ranch, and 3 pieces of completely frozen cake--which came with the instructions that we should take out home to thaw. That isn't an exaggeration. A business, which charges customers for food, served frozen cake and told those same customers to take it home.
The entire experience was closer to taking medicine than dining out.
