Fritz's in Shawnee, KS, is an absolute gem of a dining experience! From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the charming atmosphere and the friendly staff. Our group of four adults and three kids were promptly greeted and seated, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the Jalapeños Swiss burger and fries. Oh my goodness, just thinking about it makes my mouth water! The burger was perfectly cooked to juicy perfection, with just the right amount of heat from the jalapeños and the creamy goodness of melted Swiss cheese. And those fries? Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. It was a flavor explosion with every bite, leaving us all craving more long after the plates were clean.
But what truly sets Fritz's apart is the unique experience of having your food delivered by trains right to your table. It's not just a meal; it's an adventure! Watching the trains chug along the tracks, carrying our delicious meals, was a delight for both kids and adults alike. It added an extra layer of excitement to an already fantastic dining experience.
The service was impeccable from start to finish. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and had a wonderful sense of humor that added to the fun atmosphere of the restaurant. Despite being busy, our food arrived promptly, hot, and fresh, further enhancing our dining pleasure.
In addition to the fantastic food and service, the ambiance of Fritz's is warm, inviting, and filled with nostalgia. The decor pays homage to classic train culture, with vintage memorabilia adorning the walls, transporting diners to a bygone era of travel and adventure.
Overall, our visit to Fritz's was nothing short of spectacular. It's not just a restaurant; it's an experience that delights the senses and creates lasting memories. Whether you're a local or just passing through Shawnee, KS, Fritz's is a must-visit destination for foodies and fun-seekers alike. We can't wait to return and indulge in more of their...
Read moreCame for late lunch/early supper. Young gentleman at the door greeted me quickly and was polite. I was seated promptly and asked if I have ever been before. Because I have he didn’t explain the process (you figure out what you want, pick up a “phone handset” {not a cell phone} at the table, your order is taken and shortly your drink is brought by a server and pretty quick a train will deliver your food). I did order a soda and a young man delivered it pretty quickly. He was polite but on the quiet side and went back to kitchen. My food was very quick, and was cooked properly, hot and good portions. It of course came via the train. Moments later the young man who greeted me when I arrived came by and asked how things were and if I needed any dipping sauces (for rings) or anything else. He did stop by again later asked if I wanted a drink refill and gladly got me a refill. Obviously this is all his job but I felt he went above and was what I would say is a wonderful employee. As I stood up to begin to leave this same young man was seating some others who just came in and said something like have a great night or something polite as I was headed up to pay. There was a nice young gal at the register finishing someone else and then took care of my payment. Everyone was polite my food was great and everything was worth it for a nice simple meal. If my only complaint is the one “quiet” but polite employee who brought my drink then must...
