Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Shawnee

This Sonic drive-in is the best sonic I have ever had the pleasure to order from. I live locally, I used to work just down the street. I have NEVER had a bad experience here. The service staff is always friendly and attentive. From patience and kindness while taking orders, to smiles and greetings at the car window, the car hops are A+! The drinks are 9/10 correct and if they are ever wrong the car hops are quick and friendly to mix a new cherry coke for me no questions asked. The ice cream is always generous with toppings or mix-ins and assembled with care.

Now. The food.

The food is ALWAYS hot, fresh, IMMACULATE. Fried products are crisp not greasy, never stale or cold. The burgers are amazing and always seem to be assembled cleanly and wrapped tightly without smashing the bun! The hot dogs are always juicy and pop when you bite into them.

No, I'm not a food critic, I'm just the guy down the street. Wether it's DoorDash, or ordering from your car this sonic keeps me coming back because they are flawless. This fact has made me come back so many times I can confidently say I have tried everything at least once on their menu and have enjoyed everything. This is easily one of my top 5 restaurants in the 20 mile radius, and not just any sonic. THIS SPECIFIC SONIC. You guys are golden! Thank you all so much for your hard work, you all deserve a tip.

Our food was ok, we ordered 2 drinks, a large fry and large Mozzarella sticks. The Mozzarella sticks came out warm, but not fresh out of the fryer like normal, so the cheese was difficult to eat, it was chewy, and my large cherry slush tasted like chemicals. I didn't drink it till I got home. Lesson learned. Next time I'll sample my drink and food before leaving. I'll return and hope for better next time. Our carhop was nice and friendly and made sure we had our sauce and ketchup in the bag. 1-17-2023- came and ordered a large Mozzarella stick, medium slush "AND" a #14 breakfast burrito meal, as a SEPARATE order. The order came, no tots, I pressed the red button, told the cashier, who also delivered my food, blind hair woman, and told her there were no tots, and she said "Mozzarella sticks were the side" I told her no they were not, and she said "would you like me to ring you up a Tot? " of course I tell her no thanks, I already ordered my meal so SONIC, you have some shady employees NOT doing their job. I won't be back and I hope all those who read this will let you know it's NOT ok to steal money from customers and then not deliver their order correctly and also try to double charge them for something I've already paid for. I will never go back there and you just lost a family...

Food was fresh after waiting 30 minutes but customer service experience was the worst! It took 15 minute to take our order after the red button had been turned off twice we were in stall 7. After we ordered we expected it to take a bit for the amount we ordered... #2 and #12 with the addition of a pup cup for our dog. It took 30 minutes to get our food and the car hop could not have been more irritated ( assuming but his attitude). We had asked for him to bring back a pup cup and he said sure and left 8 minutes later i hit the redbutton again to explain we had still not received our pup cup again they said alright and another 5 minutes went by and we ended up leaving. I dont know how hard it is to put icecream in a cup or at least have to common courtesy to explain why it was taking so long for everything. I dont care if you were short staffed or maybe you were having a bad day. The customer should never feel like they are impeeding on you when what i pay for goes in your paycheck. Extremely upset with this sonic and i will never go back to...
