My favorite Sheboygan bakery. I'm addicted to their 6 Grain bread and the best crullers I have ever eaten.
They have a large assortment of cookies, bread, doughnuts and pastries, as well as small cakes and bars. They have a freezer section where you can buy frozen cakes and cookie dough. Hot and cold drinks are available and they have a good assortment of coffee drinks.
All their stuff is fresh, and reasonably priced. This last Christmas I bought all my cookies here because it was cheaper than making them myself.
They have a nice dining area that a lot of people seem to use. Great morning meeting place! There's also a ramp on the side of the building for wheelchair access, Very helpful for those of us that can't navigate the stairs at the front entrance.
Service is always quick, even when they are busy, and the staff is always friendly.
I love this place and the only thing bad I can say about this bakery is that it's caused me to gain 10 pounds this last year. I'm going to have to start running every day if I want to keep...
Read moreMy favorite bakery by far, used to take my grandma here to sit down in there dining area to just relax and enjoy coffee togethers and some of there amazing bakery they offer, I have many happy memories with family from our visits here, the building is nice and the inside is clean and has a warm welcoming atmosphere and the staff is always helpful and friendly, the prices are reasonable and the variety of items to choose from is great , there bread is always good and so are there coffee cakes u can buy to bring home. The whole covid-19 stuff damaged or ended up forcing so many local businesses to have to close there doors for good and we lost many wonderful small businesses that were great for the communites they were located, I will say iam thankful that this little bakery pulled thru and didn't go out of business during covid-19 shutdowns. If ya love homemade bakery and all thouse type of delicious treats then this is the place to go...
Read moreLOVE LOVE LOVE the doughnuts at Johnston's!! I live a few blocks from the bakery, and when I moved to Sheboygan a year ago, we stumbled upon it while driving by with the moving truck. We've been regulars ever since. When we were thinking about what bakery to use for our dessert at our wedding reception, my husband demanded Johnston's doughnuts. They recommended not using ring doughnuts for a peg board due to the dripping frosting or softness of the doughnut itself, but we tested a few and it worked GREAT. Yes they are amazingly soft and fluffy and the frosting is to die for, but they stayed on and looked great! The board was a HUGE hit. We had doughnuts for days! We also had 8 other flavors that were not rings, and those were equally delicious and sought after. Whether it's for a wedding or just a pitstop on your way to somewhere, Johnston's is a...
