King Wok — Restaurant in Sheboygan

Decided to give another try as our last purchase from this food truck in Fall wasn't so great.... ....Order called in. We purchased 5 meals plus egg rolls (and asked for NO MUSHROOMS for everything) from food truck located in Kiel. I asked Gentleman what estimated cost would be as I was sending someone else to pick up but he didn't answer and instead just set phone down and after nearly 1 min. hung up. Sent husband for pick up. 1st thing Gentleman says to my husband was... "sorry busy forgot no mushrooms" .....are you kidding me?... after already waiting nearly 45 min. for take out ....my husband just paid for the order and left. Once home it became apparent that the only vegetables in any of the orders was mushrooms and broccoli! Nothing had any flavor. Everything was completely bland in taste. The hunan beef was not spicy at all and my daughter's Gen. Tso Chicken was so overcooked that it was like rubber and not able to be eaten as it couldn't be chewed! Nearly $80 in food that tasted like crap and was very full of mushrooms that were not even asked for! My family will never order from this truck again or eat at a King Wok establishment after this 2nd in a row disappointing experience. I can not recommend my friends to eat here either. King Wok use to be my go to for Chinese cuisine until I made an order for delivery. I called at 5:30 pm and placed and order for delivery. They told me that they were very busy and delivery would be around 55 minutes. I live less than 3 miles from restaurant. I was fine with that. 6:40 pm I called and asked for update and they told me driver was on the way. 7:00 pm still no food and I called again. They said driver was on his way. 7:30 pm still no food and I called again and said this was unacceptable and to please cancel my order. They said sorry and food would be there soon. They did not recognize my frustration. Driver showed up and it was owner. Food was luke warm and the receipt showed as 7:15pm. They lied to me every time that I called. I decided to give them a try just to mix it up, and see what the other Chinese restaurants in the area had to offer. While I love the fact that they are open late, the food really wasn’t great, which makes that bonus kind of moot. Delivery took over an hour with a 45 min estimate. There was very little I liked about it, unfortunately.

I would recommend China Star for those looking for that authentic American Chinese food (bit of an oxymoron there, but I think you catch my drift). Not only is it cheaper, but their delivery is free as well. There really is no circumstance in which I would recommend King Wok.
