Love this place. This is my go to Mexican restaurant. The food is so delicious and authentic. The tinga quesadilla, al pastore chimichanga, and the churros are to die for. EDITED : This was our go to spot for some time for authentic Mexican and I no longer will be coming here. The food is delicious but they are very inconsistent. I ordered from them a short while ago and the chimichangas seemed to have less meat than usual. Then yesterday I ordered 2 chimichangas and there was barely and I mean barely any meat in both, just all rice and beans. I called the restaurant and nicely told them that we were loyal customers and was hoping there was something they could do to fix the order. The girl on the phone was very nice and spoke to the owner and said that they would take down my name and next time we ordered they would give us 2 free chimichangas. I told them I’d like to order right now (so we could eat an actual burrito with meat in it) and then the owner changed his mind and said they couldn’t give us the food and instead would give us free churros. I told them they just lost customers. We will not be returning. Their customer service sucks! Go here if you want to be skimped out on meat and a place that doesn’t care about their customers.

P.S. the churros are super inconsistent too. Sometimes they are super dry, sometimes they’re filled with some kind of gooey stuff, sometimes we get chocolate sauce, sometimes they give you caramel, or both. Ever since time it’s a different combination of all these things. The last time we ordered churros (this was with our order that also came a little light in the meat) they didn’t give us any...

Quite disappointed for the hype. The queso fundito was broken, gritty, and flavorless. The chips were cold and needed salt. The birria quesadilla was tasty but not impressive, the fajitas were fine. Certainly not worth the cost. We paid about sixty bucks. Tables were all pretty gross, needed to wipe somewhere yourself if you wanted to sit. Easily the worst part though was the TV blasting at full volume to complete with the music being played in the kitchen. Really headache inducing. Also, wearing gloves doesn't count if you go from handling food, to playing with your phone, back to handling food, all without changing your gloves. Since the kitchen is in full view of the dining area, I'd think the cooks would take a bit more care. I'd love to be able to update this review more positively in the future, but I really don't see myself ever coming back, even though I pass the location frequently. Overall food was fine, atmosphere was poor, and value was quite poor. If you're craving Mexican food and have the time, I'd highly recommend taking the extra 20 minutes to visit Tequila Revolucion...

Amazing food! Delicious! Been to most restaurants around this area since I moved to Shelton in 2019. Since this place opened I been dying to try it. I finally came with my partner and we both loved it! I say better than most restaurants here. The food is delishes! And well presented, many sodas to pick from. (Jarritos!) I got the Burrito and it was very good! Haven't had a great Burrito in a minute. My partner got the same together with Nachos with chicken platter that feeds three people. On top of that, they gave on the house tortilla chips with salsas..wow! We came out like two meat balls from there. Prices are great for the area. Parking will be a bit hard if it was busy, like a weekend , but we came during a Sunday afternoon on a rainy day. This place is my new spot! Definitely...

It may have been over priced but at least they got our order wrong. El pastor was solid but the asada was a stringy fatty mess. Also, this: Three of the same taco are cheaper than three single tacos. the fella at the counter asked if we wanted all singles. Not getting it we said sure (singles as apposed to a full meal with rice and beans I assumed). As a result we were charged more. They weren’t packed up separately. There was no difference. It was just more expensive. Kinda shady.
