Overall, i want to like this place. Great architecture and its aesthetic is fun. I feel like it could be in the Paramout Hotel in the city, and it fits right in. It's a little too loud and way too expensive. Italian food always has a higher cost of entry, but let's be real, this menu is designed to get those bills up into triple digits. Naturally, i got a pizza. I lived a little and got shortrib. It was really tasty and a good sauce to meat to cheese ratio. Quality crust. The cocktail list was quite extensive and the coconut..... something... was delicious. Id pay for those cocktails over the food any day. The fam all got pastas and again, $25-$30 for a dish we can make for 1/3 the price. Oh my

The food here was impeccable. The lamb chops were rich in flavor, seasoned well and cooked just right. The meat was practically falling off the bone. The Brussel sprouts were perfectly crispy with just enough honey on that it wasn’t overly sweet. We also tired and enjoyed the lobster Mac and cheese appetizer and more. Alejandra provided wonderful customer service and recommended delicious options. The cocktail was deliciously made. I enjoyed the restaurant atmosphere with the beautiful decor, seating and large plants. Overall a wonderful restaurant that I recommend to anyone searching for exceptional dishes. I can’t wait to return to Matto Wine Bar in the future.

I dont like leaving negative reviews but we came here with a group of friends for a birthday. Unfortunately, it wasn't the best food I have had here. Calamari wasn't great, over crispy for me. The octopus was burnt. I ordered the eggplant parm dinner. The eggplant was super thin. Cut like deli meat, and the sauce was way too sweet. I would never order that again. Sad. A friend ordered the plain cheese pizza, and they said it tasted like Ellios frozen pizza. No favor at all. The portions are ok. It's a nice place but watch what you order. I've had better so we won't be here again.

Went to dinner hear around 9pm on 6/13. Service started okay, but after taking our order our server disappeared for over 25 minutes. Two of our party had finished our drinks by the time our apps came out and our server was nowhere to be found. After finishing our appetizers, with no table touch from our server as is common industry practice, I went to the bar to order more drinks.

After explaining what happened to who I assume was manager he rudely cut me off and said our table was already closed out and that our server had been cut. We had not been closed out as our entrees had not even arrived yet. When I stated this he yelled at me, said "I am taking over your table" and followed me to our table. On our walk over I said you should do a better job if you are taking over our table when he yelled at me again to "not take your anger out on me."

After seeing another server/manager at our table our server appeared and said he had not been cut nor had he closed out our table. Sad to see the managers first reaction was to accost and gaslight us when I reality our server was just horrible at his job.

After bringing us drinks I asked our server for the ingredients in the espresso martini as it tasted different and he said "I do not know, I didn't make it." A server should know the basics of ingredients for menu items, as is the industry standard.

He then rushed us on the check, asking us "is it ready" a minute after dropping the check. The icing on the cake was that my final drink was served in a glass that had a third of the rim chipped.

The restaurant was not even half full and they could not provide a bare minimum of service. Do not go here unless you want to be accosted by rude managers and have servers who are...

If you would like to be treated like a number instead of a person this is the place for you. Our meal was good and our waitress Sam was great but the hostess and management team do not know how to treat people. They could care less if you are a patron and you do not matter. It is like a factory in this place. I had a very special occasion. My daughter graduated from college and we went to this restaurant in the past quite frequently. I called two months ago to reserve a particular table for 2 PM. I was never told that I would not be able to have this particular table or that my reservation wouldn’t be ready at the time that I made it. Upon arrival, there were people sitting at our table, as well as other tables in the restaurant, and it did not look like anyone was leaving. I kept checking in with the hostess and up until the time that we were seating, she made it seem like we were the next candidate for the table that I had reserved. As it turns out, another party with seated at the table, and we were going to be seated at the table next to the bathroom. To me going out to eat is an experience and it has about 50 to 60% to do with the food when I explain this to the manager, she said, do you want the table or not? It’s the same food at either place. she showed zero compassion, and could care less about me as a person. When I asked why the other party got the table, they said well they have two more people than you. Clearly it’s just about the money. If you want to be discriminated against, and made to feel like you don’t matter, by all means, enjoy...

This place was disappointing on so many fronts. First, I called to make a reservation for a group, and they confirmed that they could accommodate vegans and asked several times it wasn't just for like 1 or 2 veggie dishes. They said they had many items. I came early before the reservation and got a drink at the bar. The bartender did not have knowledge of the drinks and didn't know if they could make hot drinks. When we paid that tab and sat for our dinner reservation, the waitress was terrible. She didn't know anything about the wines (you would expect the staff knew more since the place has wine bar in the name) or what dishes could be modified to be vegan. She kept insisting that they could only do salads. Had SO much back and forth, ordered the matto penne without the cheese, and they didn't give me any pasta. They use Barilla pasta in the box, which is vegan. After more back and forth, they said the penne pasta gluten-free did not have egg, which makes it vegan. Instead of making the dish over, they brought me a bowl of overcooked pasta. No one was knowledgeable on the alcohol or the food dishes. Had to ask for water multiple times, and overall service was terrible. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, don't go there as the staff there everywhere not knowledgeable on the ingredients...
