Big Y — Local services in Shelton

1 day I got off my bus near the big Y in Westport.If you're a bus taker, getting off, the bus to the big y is a little daunting because of the busy street.However big wine in west sport is excellent. It was very organized. I found exactly what I it did. It was very quiet in there. Had some good music, if I remember. I want to rate the customer service. But nobody actually came up and said, "Hi, do you need any help or greeted me?" So maybe that's something to work on, but other than that very well organized, it is very lovely big. Guy, I will go again for my. This grocery store chain is just amazing. The people at every location are friendly and very helpful. This location is my usual haunt, but I often visit the Monroe and Milford locations. Milford has Big Y gas, which is amazing! My biggest reason for not shopping here in the past was the bonus gas points. The produce, bakery items, and seafood selections are always fresh and delicious. (The scones are definitely worth the calories). Multiple times I have had employees help me get groceries to the car. I was largely pregnant and carting my two kids. They saw me struggling. I didn't even need to ask. So impressed. I also love how they tell you easily on labels where the local produce and products are. Love to help support local business through them. The app is very helpful for knowing the coupons and sale items, but they also always let you know by extra cards on the price ticket if an item has a coupon or sale for it. So grateful during these times, to not have to hunt for deals and special offers. Enjoy this chain and this store in particular. So worth the change over! When they opened Big Y in Shelton I was excited to know that I now have many choices all near for groceries. From Shop Rite and Stop & Shop and some smaller ones and now Big Y. First it is more expensive than even Stop & Shop and I was told before it was even built by friends and family that Big Y is "pricy". The only reason I gave it 4 Stars was because of there sometimes significantly high costs. Other than the higher prices, the store is beautiful inside. I mean when you walk you will be stunned by the design detail and look of the store. It's absolutely Huge as well and they even carry products and brands I hadn't seen at the other Grocery stores. Their meats are incredible. Steak from the butcher is delicious on the grill. Even though I said it's more expensive than anywhere else I find myself there more than other grocery stores purely for the "experience". I know it's a grocery store and not Disney World world but when something you don't enjoy doing becomes an enjoyable experience instead of the" I have to go grocery shopping" thing, that makes it ok in my book.
