I have been going here for a few years now and was never disappointed unti today. But it is only 1 time in very many. I will still keep going. Usually their lives and onion dinner is perfect. But today it was not very good, extremely dry, tough and smaller than usual. I know how hard it is to make great liver and onions, that is why I'm going to try it again later on. I still recommend this place, it's definitely worth going. Only one bad dinner out many . I was wanting to do another review, it wouldn't let me. But it is letting me edit. It's real close to being almost the same review as the first one. When I go there to eat, I usually get spaghetti and meatballs or liver and onions. I got liver and onions, the last 2 times it was like trying to eat a piece of leather, it was tough and dry. The worst part of it I was telling my brother how good it was. This timei honestly think this was the worst I've ever had. I'm hoping they have a new cook and they are learning. Something like that is ok. I've only had 2 meals that wasn't the greatest. Both times were liver and onions. I enjoy this place, you just have to work around issues like that. I. Going to change up what I usually eat. I guess I need to get something different, do that for a bit then and then go back and try liver and...

Went to Hugger Mugger on July 5, 2021: friends recommended it, and The Wife and I were coming back from Lake Arthur, and decided to give it a try. Wife got a small Chicken Salad, and I their "Famous Reuben" sandwich, with their home fries on the side.
Our server told us the salads are big, so The Wife would've been okay with the small (they only offer two sizes: small or large). Turns out it wasn't that big of a portion, and the amount of chicken I saw was small. The Wife rated her salad 7/10.
Since they describe their reuben sandwich as "Our Famous Reuben", I had great expectations, but was disappointed (I always order reubens when I see them on the menu): the amount of corned beef was what I would call "normal", the bread soggy on the underside (where the sauerkraut was), and the sauce was mild in taste. The home fries - which I ordered because they said they make it themselves - were on the skinny side and lacked the crisp. Overall, my meal was a solid 4/10.
Our experience was just that of a regular diner: nothing special about it. The only solid positive was the PRICE: you will get what you pay for, nothing more, nothing less.
Sorry I have no pictures to show: the food was not visually...
Read moreI am from out of town and decided to try the food. We did an order online and all seemed ok until I picked up the food. I waited outside after texting the ph #listed on the sign in the parking lot for 15 mins before getting out of my car and heading in. The kitchen-waitstaff seemed to be in a huddle and didn’t even acknowledge me. Some young man from the back came up and said can I help you? I told him I was picking up food. He pointed to a bag on the counter and said-there it is. The huddled group was about 3 ft away from the bag and didn’t even acknowledge again as I picked it up. No thanks. No good byes…. Very strange ‘service’
The food itself was really good but they need to work on the customer skills for sure! We have the pita breakfast wrap and the breakfast country line which was biscuits and sausage gravy with poached eggs. All well cooked...
