Bearno's Pizza — Restaurant in Shepherdsville

Unfortunately, we haven't had great luck with this location or the manager. The first time we ordered (under the same management) we got our pizza, and it was burnt, cold and very late. When I called to let the manager know, she was pretty rude and basically said it wasn't her problem. I promised myself then I'd never be back, and I wish I had stuck to it. Fast forward 2 years, and my uncle who lives out of town was craving Bearno's, so we decided to give it another shot. Unfortunately, this time (5/2/24) we never got our pizza because after waiting for our pizza to be delivered for an hour and half, I called to see when the pizza would be delivered, and the manager advised me she had me down for pick up (I definitely said delivery in front of my uncle and husband) and she could have the driver bring them since he just got back to the restaurant. After confirming these wouldn't be fresh pizzas, but the ones I originally ordered (which I thought was terrible, but it was late and we were hungry) I then proceeded to wait another 45 minutes and still,...no pizza. I finally just called the manager back, advised her not to deliver them and to please refund the credit card. The good service I guess is she did in fact refund the card. I then got in my car and drove to Bearno's on Preston where I got hot and fresh pizza- like it always is from that location. My advice is to make the drive...this time I really will never order/eat from the Shepherdsville location again.

I Order a large Mama's Bearno's for take out over the phone asked if there's any specials I was told no on that pizza was inside waiting for my pizza another guy had the same thing and it was $4 cheaper. I talked to the lady who's the manager she tell me well that was my fault cuz I should have asked for the special and I did and next time I order I need to ask for the special. I got frustrated walked out what back into made it my money back and she gave me the difference and not my money back. But it was a good pizza and I was cool with that. And halfway home I realize they didn't give me my salad. I wasn't too mad I just called them and asked if they could put the money back on my credit card and they said no they couldn't they're going to give me a credit in store to get a salad next time but what good is a credit for something that you're never going to use again where you don't want to go back there. And as I was waiting for my pizza I ordered a beer and I told her I wanted to be on a separate ticket and the waitress said that was fine end as I got up I was standing and the waitress told another lady who is ringing the pizzas up to keep an eye on me make sure I don't walk out without paying her for the beer, when my pizzas come up they run it up and she's like oh yeah what was beer did you drink I said I'm going to pay that on a separate ticket she said you can't do that it all has to be on the same ticket and the manager was staying in there say yes it all has to be on the same ticket. Edited because... I still love this sandwich. And I love the service. And the cleanliness of the facility is always on point. Ive never left disappointed or felt someone was "rude" to me. My pizza hasn't ever been burnt, undercooked, or low quality. Ever! This place couldn't be more on point with their food and service.

I absolutely love the gondola sandwich. OH MY GONDOLA, ITS AMAZING. I dont think I'll ever quit craving that sandwich. I take that deliciousness and dip it into the garlic butter, and man, talk about making my mouth happy. Woo hoo, it's yummy. I love the Mama Bearnos pizza - talk about a heavy slice. My gosh, that thing is thick - full of fresh ingredients and made with more love than most of the other pizza places I've visited. The food is always fresh. I almost felt like goldilocks from the three bears. When I ate here, the food was "just right"! Whereas the other places I've tried have been "too cold" or overcooked. I've never been disappointed with my service or the cleanliness of the restaurant. And I dont think you'd find a cleaner bathroom in the whole town of Shepherdsville. I highly recommend this place. And as you've discovered, I highly highly recommend that declious gondola sandwich.
