Cluckers Shepherdsville — Restaurant in Shepherdsville

In general, this is a pretty good place to eat, but clearly they have room for improvement. It always takes ages for our food to arrive, no matter what day or time it is, no matter what we order, no matter if we're a group of six or just a couple. The servers are usually nice but not saccharine, and the restaurant itself is always clean and well-kept.

On our last visit, my entree salad was run out to me, but without explanation, my husband's food was nowhere to be found. It took several minutes for our server to come check on us and she was just as confused as we were about the missing meal. Eventually, the general manager came to apologize and explained that the kitchen had miscounted the chicken tenders so they had to remake the meal. Not sure I would have withheld an entire meal for a couple missing tenders which could have been brought out a couple minutes later, but hey, I'm not the manager. We waited several minutes more for my husband's meal, and were charged at 100%.

Not enough to turn us off completely, but we definitely have low expectations of the place in regards to...

We have eaten here before several times (pre-covid). We have always been happy. No more! My husband ordered a chicken salad sandwich, took one bite and realized it was bad. We told the waitress and waited several minutes for the manager. The manager came out and agreed that the chicken salad had gone bad. This “chicken” place doesn’t make their own salad, it’s prepackaged. The manager apologized and said he would take care of it on the bill. My husband ordered a burger. When the burger came, he didn’t get the side of chips that was ordered. When we got the bill, we were charged $9.99 for a cheeseburger! We waited again several minutes for the manager. Finally, the manager said the only part of the bill he agreed to take care of was the chicken salad sandwich that was not even edible! Also, he was very busy with other customer meals and couldn’t break free to take care of us! However, we had a very sweet waitress! The manager needs a different job! We will NEVER...

Food is usually great at this place. We visit here often. However the last couple of trips the service was not very good and the fries was cold. We asked fro fresh fries she did bring us some after we was done with our food. So she did take them off the check which was nice. But I would have rather had them with my meal. Had no problem paying or I would not have been there. Ordered appetizer and asked for sour cream never was brought to us. So we ordered second appetizer which was the spicy bites. Love these things. I can eat those just for the meal. However they came again without sour cream? She finally brought it. We usually live this place but my past 2 visits the service was not as good as what we are use to here. I will definitely try again some day just may be a long time.sorryi would usually gives this place 5 stars. I definitely recommend the food for sure. The food would have got a 5 if not for missing sour cream...
