This place was horrible! Not only did the room have fleas and looked like it was not cleaned before they just made the beds but they are theives! I am a General Manager and know how to treat costumers. I was called a liar and the service desk worker that I dealt with the night before that stole money from the deposit I gave them ofcoarse wasn't there and could not be reached. Sounds to me that they know how to work the scheme of pocketing your money and switching to different staff members to cover for each other. They also refused to watch the high tech cameras from the night before to prove I was stolen from. If i wasn't from another state and wasn't already delayed I surely would have taken matters further to get my money back . If this place is franchised then Garden Inn needs to cut them loose! They are crooks to the max. We arrived late Saturday June 29th and at first the elder gentleman was very nice. I actually had about a 5 min conversation with him. I was sure that the money I gave him for a deposit was going to be put into an envelope and given right back in the morning when i checked out. I was also sure that when they got ahold of the gentleman that wasn't there anymore would have told them how much money I gave him. Guess my faith in people was wrong this time. The room we stayed in was gross. Looked like blood on the shower wall. The tv wouldn't even turn on. The refrigerator was the most disgusting one I've ever seen in a motel! When your running a motel the cleanliness of your rooms should be top priority. Noone should ever walk into any motel room to filth. When you guys read this review just know that puke that was left in your trash can was from my daughter because of the smell from the refrigerater! I've been reading your reviews and I hope you do reply to this. So far on all your replies to other reviews you have done nothing but deny most of everyone's complaints and say you have addressed house keeping about these issues. Maybe it's time to stop addressing your house keepers and start replacing them! Evidently they don't care what you have to say because your motel is still bottom of the line disgusting. I hope you turn things around so other people don't have to be treated like Me and my family were. Every employee there was respectful to me about my issue with the money that was stolen from me except for the younger woman working. The older lady and the other man were both trying to help until she came in and was rude right off the bat. She just came in and absolutely refused to look into the matter completely and said I was just going to have to wait until the elder man returned. Wouldn't say when he would be back. Once the younger woman came in the elder woman hid in the back room while the other man stood there pretending to look at the computer. They based the fact that my hand writen deposit amount on my receipt was valid. My wife called on advance and they said we had to pay a 50$ deposit of we were paying with cash. We didn't have enough cash to pay for the room and the deposit so we put it on our credit card. So considering we payed with the care we should not had to have paid a cash deposit! I accidentally paid them 55$ for the deposit paying attention and sleep deprived. Wouldn't you know it when I came in the morning to get it back I was handed 50$ from their cash register. I told them I gave the man 55$ and they said no and pointed to the hand written 50$ on their copy of my receipt. I asked them to call the man from the night before who didn't answer or return their call. They didn't leave a voicemail or try calling more than once. The older lady and man were willing to look back at the camera then here comes the younger lady rude as can be and said "no, we're not doing that. Your just going to have to wait until he comes in!" I asked when he would be in and she just said I don't know very rudely. I understand them being skeptical but to just being called a liar and not willing to make any effort to looking into the matter...

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING PLACE! I was traveling from Georgia to Wisconsin w/ my 2 girls. Needed a place to stay last minute. So we looked online. This place doesn't look bad at all online, However once you get there & check into a room...it's nothing like the photos online! They were running a deal online, so I went and ask the man at the front desk if I had to book online quick to get the deal. He said no he'd even give me a better deal. Then said oh wait I have to ask. A lady came out front and she said no, and raised the price. I told her, it's $57 & change if I book online. She said no that's 2 ppl. When I said no it's 3, she asked to see it. I showed her & she gave me the room for the online price, but I had to pay cash, & received no receipt. The name on the key cards said comfort inn, not garden inn. I got a smoking room, & even though almost every room was vacant was given a room on the back half of the building. When we walked in, the room reeked! I smoke, I've been in smoking hotel rooms before, never in my life has a room ever smelled that bad. I immediately sprayed my perfume all over. Turned on the a.c. & a horrific smell came out of that. All 3 of us felt VERY UNSAFE! I went to double lock the door, Nope! I couldn't! The wall next to the door, looked like it had been badly repaired after someone kicked the door in. The chain that had once existed, was no longer. The 2 pieces were still there, broken however. No dead bolt or anything. Looking around the room, the room seemed dirty, filthy. Enough for me to question our stay. I went to use the rest room. & that was it I had to leave, couldn't keep my kids there over night! Pubic hairs & dead bugs on the bathroom floor, dried blood on the back of the door in there, mold on the ceiling & shower/tub. The towels that were supposed to be white. Were blackish & dirty. Soap scrum & dirty shower/tub. The sink/vanity area was dirty, the towels there, were the same as the bathroom ones. Mirror dirty. There was a white tub, I amuse, meant to be an ice bucket..that was dirty, greasy, & plain nasty! I'm not sure why anyone would think that a customer would ever even consider using it to get ice, or put anything in it for that matter. I opened the microwave, no plate in there, instead old food, grease, dirt, & mold stood in its place. The mini fridge was gross also. I told my girls let's go, were leaving we can't stay here it's filthy & unhealthy, and everyone needs to shower asap! My youngest had laid her head on a pillow & I made her get up immediately! She told me after we packed our stuff in the car that the pillow stunk, & had a big yellow stain on it. the chair next to the door was stained, and had something on it. I immediately went upfront & told them I wanted a refund the lady made the guy go check the room for everything I said. He called from the room & she refunded my money immediately. I will also be contacting the Louisville health department about all of this! I took photos of everything in that room. Filthy, unsanitary, unhealthy place! I have uploaded my photos onto google maps of all of my problems that I had this with place! The updates you claimed you made to the rooms, my room must have been missed. Please don't try to say you have no record of my stay, bc the man at the front desk made me pay cash, & photo copied my I.d., but I never received a receipt. I was also issued a refund. So it was probably tossed out. The new locks you claim to have put on the doors, again my room must have been missed. I now understand why this place doesn't offer daily housekeeping to extended stay customers. In my room it looked like everything the last customers had used in my room, had just been refolded and put back in it's place not replaced with clean items, and the dirty...

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE CHERNOBYL

First off... we get there and our cards wouldn't even unlock the door. We got a second set from the manager and it didn't work either. So he had to let us in with the master key which took about 5 minutes. I go over to look at my bed and look at the sheets to find a dried up macaroni shell on the bed. And then I see that the pillow sheets and bed sheets are dirty and stained all over. So I go to check the other bed and it has cobwebs between the pillow and sheet. Absolutely disgusting. Then in the chair there is a dead cockroach that is laying legs up, probably from the smell because it had a stench that could not knock you out faster than a right hook from mike Tyson.

The bathroom light sparked when I turned the light on and it flickered pretty badly. Then I lift up the toilet seat and it has black hairs all over the rim of the toilet seat which looked like pubic hairs. Then the shower floor had black stains all over it. The the floor underneath the sink had sugar ants running around everywhere. I opened the fridge and it was moldy as all get out. The tv would keep going in and out when we tried to watch it.

I took a shirt I had packed and put it over the pillow case because of all the filth on it. Then I slept in all the clothing that I had on because I didn't want to be cuddling up with the bed bugs or the wolf spider. When I finally laid down on the bed it felt as if I were laying on a sheet of plywood. Must have carved the bed out of the rock along the interstate walls.

I woke up at about 5 in the morning to the sound of a scream and I jumped out of bed only to land onto a damn 3 inch drywall screw. Then the morning came around and the manager made us leave early because he said they had a lot of reservations coming, which they only had 3 cars in the whole parking lot.

Before I'd stay her again, I'd stand behind mule and let it kick me in the nuts. These are some places that I recommend staying before coming here: a homeless shelter, my car, the dumpster, the middle of I-65, or inside of the old abandoned restaurant that sits right in front of the hotel.

But seriously guys, don't ever, ever ever ever ever...
