Golden China Restaurant — Restaurant in Sheridan

The outside of the restaurant is rather unassuming but the interior is gorgeous. That being said, the food did not meet expectations. The lo mein tasted burnt and the sesame chicken was bland. In addition the spicy chicken dish, when I ordered over the phone, was told that it contained chicken and mixed veg. Sounded great, until I returned to my hotel and discovered shrimp was also in the dish. My husband is very allergic to shellfish and at no point was it relayed during ordering that the dish contained a rather common allergen. Because of this, I was not able to eat dinner with my family but instead had to eat in a separate room due to my husband's allergy.

Felt compelled to leave a review since the most recent Google review was not great. We had a fantastic meal. I had the combo #2 and my mom had the cashew chicken. Good portion size at a good prices. We ate almost all our food. We also added egg rolls. After traveling for a week it was nice to have a fresh tasting meal that also wasn’t a burger. We both agreed it was some of the best egg rolls we’ve had, very thin and crispy shell. As we left my mom said “that was a good choice”. I only left a less than 5 star review because sometimes people don’t believe a 5 star...

Golden China has been the only Chinese restaurant in Sheridan up until 7 or 8 years ago. It's owner operated and is evident by the quality dishes and service. Golden China is a great choice for families and couples. The menu offers many options in chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, and other delicious sea creatures. Vegetables are also a big hit. To get there from the East, take the first exit one block past home Depot on your right.
